I like to think he perks up a bit after escaping to the origin system, but he still retains a kind of. deeply ingrained hollowness and flagrant disregard towards personal safety up until meeting the Hex and actually being able to be a Real Person again. Finger hovering over the self-destruct button constantly until the Hex forcibly wrestle that thing away from him.

Drifter wears gloves even in normal civvie clothes because he's kinda self-conscious with it (his right hand is pretty gnarly-looking from the whole. *gestures* Duviri Disembodied Hand Stuff). Actually my drifter is just fully fucking covered up all the time because A) Hollvania cold as FUCK it's eastern Europe and I imagine Duviri being a balmy Mediterranean summer at worst and B) Drifter is just like, completely clueless as to how his appearance reads to anyone in any circumstance except during Committing Ultraviolence so opts to not be perceived at all. to be nakey is to be vulnerable or whatever. the hex reacts to seeing him in a regular t-shirt like seeing a victorian lady hike up her skirt to expose her ankles. i fully stole this imagery from a different post here on the warframe fandom of Tumblr Dot Com apologies to OP

If you notice that they sometimes have freckles and sometimes dont it's just a doodling thing lol. they're a pain to draw every time with the way that i sketch but they are Supposed to have them

I like to think of Operator as being around 14ish and Drifter is in his 20s (physically anyways). Mentally they're both a little immature round the edges but in different ways. Drifter also kind of acts like he's an old man sometimes...

yeah Operator's like 3 apples tall in comparison to Drifter... Drifter is 6' tall so. ask him to reach the high shelves for you, buddy

Operator has worse handwriting than Drifter

Drifter gets chronic (ish. they happen with regularity but infrequently) migraines. they hurt REAL BAD though and he's generally out for the day with one. They both had them as kids, but Operator doesn't get them anymore because of whatever fucked up experiments they put the zariman kids through. One of the few perks lol

operator is judging your romantic prospects, drifter... your decisions are being Judged...

lowkey I've been thinking about how operator would probably threaten to Fight Quincy after That Conversation (if you've done Quincy's chats. you know the one... check on this space for possible comics about this one day... ;) )

i also think the image of Quincy having to win over Drifter's "little brother" who is simultaneously the angriest and most traumatized child he's ever seen is kinda funny

Operator's favorite frames are Volt, Gauss, and Limbo, though he kinda uses whatever gets the job done best. Will occasionally run Nokko with Drifter's Yareli. Drifter runs Titania whenever he needs to keep up with Operator's speedframes lol

The Volt frame is basically Operator's personal property. the closest Drifter gets is using Gauss from time to time
