Gannex overcoat. Gannex has quite a history. The company was founded by Joseph Kagan (later Baron Kagan) and became a success on the back of the fabric he invented (also called Gannex). All manner of public figures wore Gannex coats, including Harold Wilson, Lyndon Johnson, Mao Zedong, Nikita Khrushchev, and Queen Elizabeth. Kagan went to prison in the 1980s for stealing from his own companies. The overcoat in the picture was inherited.
