So while Vital instruments can’t heal Enjins wounds, simple first aid can.

This might be a bit of a hot take but…..I think this is kinda interesting.

I know a lot of people are mad that this is the case but honestly I think this is a pretty neat way of handling the wound problem.

It shows that while the injuries from using Time walk are serious, but it’s not some absolute fatal injury (as long as he’s careful) or some disease corrupting him like some were theorizing. Just cause NORMAL jinkis didn’t work doesn’t mean conventional first aid is useless either. To me, it doesn’t erase that the consequences of using the watch are real and can go wrong very quickly if Enjin isnt careful. It’s pretty grounded when you think about it.

Also the Hell guard are basically a battle hardened group of non givers so obviously they’d use a lot of “normal” methods like conventional medicine.

Of course I would love for Amo to get her “healer” moment but like a friend told me, it would’ve been really coincidental she just learned that out of the blue to heal him. Which….yeah lol but I think she will get her big moment when the time comes.

*Eishia, the HEALER and only cleaner (so far) with HEALING POWERS, shouldn’t have healed Gris

*Riyo shouldve let Jabber sacrifice Zanka to the artificial trash beast

*Rudo should have left Follo to die from his wounds on the edge of the mountain

*Lily should have let Gountess, her childhood best friend, and the man who means the whole world to her, explode from the bomb on his chest

*Kyoka and the Hell guard shouldve left Enjin to bleed out from his neck wound

Because according to them, those deaths would make the story “more mature” and “raise the stakes” they want Gachiakuta to go down the route of AOT, JJK, and Game Of Thrones where they will kill literally anyone, character development and story potential be damned.

Enjin Pulled through!!!! I know people are mad that the hell guard patched up the wound, but I still think a character like Amo gets her time to shine to heal him. The bandage could potentially just be a temporary fix.

We will just have to wait and see what happens. It’s better than immediately jumping the gun and saying Urana is a bad writer like some are claiming.

Call me naive, say I’m coping all you want, but even though Lily and Eishia’s power had no effect on Enjin, I still stand by he’s gonna pull through…My points as to why being the reason, the amount of lore on him, his connection to Alto and the reveal he has the watchman series watch, and finally getting to have his big moment to shine…all to just kill him, from a storytelling standpoint would not make sense and be a huge disappointment.

I honestly do not see Enjin dying here. Call it coping, I call it a gut feeling. All of the things we’ve learned just from these last few chapters (Enjins past, his connection to Alto, how he got a hold of Time Walk, his potential realization that Rudo is connected to the man who saved his life, him finally getting the moment to go all out). To have ALL of that…only to just up and kill him off…story wise, does not make a lick of sense, at least to me.

I know people love to say “But mentor characters always die” and “backstory’s in the middle of deadly moments mean a character will die” . Sure some stories do that, but not all of them. I feel like people already have this preconceived notion that this story should be like JJK or Chainsaw Man, forgetting that it’s not those…it’s Gachiakuta.

Besides…Eishia, Lily, many different moving pieces are still there that could help change the outcome.

Has anybody ever tried to actively avoid theories of any kind? Not that theorizing or speculation is a bad thing, that’s normal and it can be fun. I mean when the story is at a certain point of tension and 99% of the time, the theories are just “This character is dead” “This will break Rudo” “One of the other characters is a traitor working with Tamzy” and other similar things. For me, you see so much of it I just decide “screw it, I’m just gonna actively ignore these” because

1. Some of them feel like they want a story like, say, Gachiakuta to be like Chainsawman, JJK, or AOT, when it’s none of those things…it’s Gachiakuta.

2. when you really think about them and where the story is/was at at that moment..story wise it wouldnt make much sense.

And 3. It just stresses me out lol.

People need to take a chill pill and quit trying to go after Urana for the most minuscule of things. But you know what’s even worse than that, seeing people act immature, throwing damn temper tantrums over Urana not accepting a ship as canon (even if she said that was the case for any ship) or some other stupid reason…only to turn around and BLAME URANA AND SAY ITS HER FAULT SHES GETTING HARASSED! Why? Well simply….because she’s on social media. That’s it. It’s her fault because she has a social media presence. Nevermind the fact that she has talked with fans for years and it was never a problem till it happened overseas but sure it’s her fault. GFY honestly. And then to sit there and double down and say “WHaT iS wRoNg wIth pEoPlE Im tHe oNlY oNe tReAtiNg hEr lIkE aN ActUal mAngA AuThOr” How about treating her like an actual human being for a change? How about that? And the fact that the person saying all of this and blaming Urana is the same one who said “I don’t care Urana said she wasn’t non-binary, she used trans people to push her manga” is actual insanity.

If you’re out of the loop, Urana made a tweet a week or so ago basically saying “Hey you guys using official volume cover templates and even tracing them for your OCs? Could you please not do that? It could potentially cause confusion to new readers on what’s real or not.” Obviously I’m paraphrasing it a bit but that was the basic gist of it, completely understandable…..unless you’re one of the “fans” who can’t use more than one brain cell at once.

For so completely bizarre, god knows what reason, people saw this as her saying “She doesn’t want people making OCS!!!!” Which of course was parroted by big accounts, calling Urana “petty”, telling her to “just shut up and make the manga” and some threatening to DROP it just because she made a reasonable request that other mangaka have done in the past.

I love and will continue to support Gachiakuta, but the “fans” can piss right off.

In my personal opinion, if the only way for a story to “raise the stakes” is to kill beloved or underdeveloped characters with so much potential, then that just makes it incredibly shallow. There are tons of stories (Walking Dead, Game Of Thrones, JJK, Last Of Us) that do this kind of thing and, to me, the whole “kill your darlings” way of writing is a double edged sword, because while one can argue it “takes risk” and “adds suspense”, you can also say it’s “senseless killing” of characters with so much wasted potential and “pure shock value”. I say all this cause for some reason, every new series that comes out HAS to be a Game Of Thrones or JJK like show with a high body count according to online “critics”. Gachiakuta hasn’t killed anybody? It’s generic disney slop, Fairy Tail? generic slop. One Piece, Limbus Company, Transformers, X men, tons of franchises have had some flavor of “this character NEEDS to die to create stakes and be mature”, when again, that is a very shallow and honestly immature way of looking at storytelling.

And don’t take this as me saying all this because “yOuRe jUsT mAd yOuRe fAvOrItE dIeD” or that I’m saying you’re not allowed to kill characters, I’m simply making the case that not every game, show, movie, manga, book, or anime needs to have a high body count or tons of character deaths to be considered “mature” or raise stakes.

Of course stories like this will be made and continue to be made, but if they do that and choose to kill off characters, you need to find a balance. Because, from my experience, when a show continues killing off character after character, I get numb and just think “what’s the point of caring for these people anymore? They’ll most likely die anyway.”

Also critics: *WHY IS RUDOS REVENGE NOT FRONT AND CENTER?!? HE SHOULD BE ANGRY AND PICKING FIGHTS WITH EVERYONE, NOT MAKING FRIENDS.
