quick normaler headcanon
once-ler and norma got married quite some time before his business took off. their rings were simple, plain gold bands—once-ler couldn’t afford a diamond, and he spent months plus a good chunk of his savings for them.
his mom always disapproved of their marriage and Married Man Once-ler was not part of the image she wanted him to project so she forbid him from wearing the ring in public or whenever he went out, not even allowing him to wear it to meetings and the like. the PR department of thneed inc. diverted a lot of money to pay off tabloids and the news from asking questions about once-ler’s marital status during interviews… but mama once-ler liked to keep things tense between her son and norma, so she’d still have them ask questions insinuating things between once-ler and women of the rich and famous variety that would catch him off guard
(it didn’t help that to get through events that norma wasn’t allowed to attend, once-ler drank a bit to help himself through it. sometimes when he was particularly stressed, he’d get really, really drunk. while norma did take care of him when he was finally allowed to go home, sometimes she couldn’t help but wonder what really went on that he came home such a mess.)
once-ler always wore his ring secretly though, keeping it on his finger as he slid on his silken green gloves. he had a habit of brushing against it with his thumb, and he’d rub at it with his thumb whenever he was feeling particularly agitated or whenever he was thinking.
when he was alone in his office, he’d tug off the ring, sliding it back down on top of his gloved finger; he’d pretend that he could be Big Business Once-ler with the beautiful wife that norma was. women would stop throwing themselves at him, other important businessmen would stop hinting that he should pick up a lady whenever they went out.
(of course this wouldn’t really happen, him being the once-ler, but he could pretend)
sometimes his secretary would see the ring when she dropped off papers or a cup of tea, but she never commented on it. she knows how much stress he’s under.
norma always wore her ring, no matter whether she was with once-ler or not. she understood why once-ler couldn’t wear his as visibly as she did—she always understood him so well—but that never stopped it from hurting.

Onceler and Norma got pregnant before Onceler became a jerk from his biggering, and Norma left him before she had the baby.
When they met, Norma didn't need glasses. But when she had to start wearing them she was embarresed and avoided Once-ler whenever she was wearing them. When he finally caught her with them on he said that he thought it was adorable and she kissed him.
When on the topic of kids, Norma wanted a boy and Once-ler wanted a girl but when it came down to the wire, neither of them cared.

I think Norma hardly ever breaks down and crys or shows intense feelings, especially in front of people. While I think Onceler can cry rather easily.
Headcannon 1
This Pairing is opposite attraction. Onceler is shy and gentle while Norma is outgoing and tough. Norma over the times helped Onceler be more asserted within himself and never be afraid to take a step out of bounds. Something he took a bit too far with his business/dream.
Headcannon 2 (LONG HEADCANNON)
Norma in her youthful years was a strong, independent and outgoing woman till she met the goofball Onceler. At first, she helped him to be more confident and then accidentally fell in love with him. Both became a couple as Onceler's business grew. Her family warned her about Onceler's damages and changing personality, but she was blinded with love, hoping to one day be Mrs. Onceler. However, she noticed this when she openly told him that she was pregnant with Helen. Onceler blew into rage and a heated argument was between them, saying a baby is a bother, even blowing off the marriage between the two of them. Norma was so heartbroken, she left his life and took care of Helen on her own. All she had from her memories was a snail, 15 cents and a nail that even today still hurt to think about.
Despite of what happened to her past, her attudite is still strong, playful and positive. And she still love him even if she could never tell Helen that he was her father.
Eventually, Once-ler and Norma reunited after the trees returned. Breaking the news of her parentage to Helen left her a bit emotional for a while, since she only barely remembered her father -- and thought him long dead -- and now knew he was only just outside the city walls all this time.
Norma was the first to buy a thneed.

basically if its NSFW its something you would look at in the own comfort of your home and not in a work place....meaning its probably naughty or sexual in some way.
Norma also let greed get the better or her, and became somewhat materialistic and possessive because of it. However, she realized very early on what it was doing to her, and spent nearly every day until the very last tree fell trying to get Once-ler to open his eyes to what his greed and pride was causing him to do.
