Humans, screams that echoed through the forest, claws scratched bare skin and tore through the living flesh. The aching new teeth sank into a throat and a buzz went through the body when the blood reached her tongue.

She let go, fell asleep in a puddle of blood from her victim.

When she awoke, her head hurt and she found herself covered in a sticky reddish-brown mass. She sat up and looked down at the source of the blood that had dried all over her.

Empty, dead eyes staring up at her, his face twisted in pain. A strangely familiar face, perhaps he meant something to her before, but she remembered no one in the village anymore. Had he perhaps been a friend at one time? She stared at the bloodied body and thought as hard as she could, but the man in front of her bore no answer to her question. She gave up, got up and looked towards the mountains. Maybe it was time to do as the village elder said. She heard loud male voices shouting and bellowing to each other from the village. The girl threw a last look at the dead man with a face of regret and whispered:

- Rest in the earth, I will follow you one day, then maybe I can explain why.

With those words, she disappeared into the woods, she had felt a scent that she was attracted to. Maybe it could give her answers to the questions.
