Every time I speak on MJ I lose followers lol. It really goes to show how downright ignorant and misinformed people are about him, and how much damage the media has done to his name. Like idgaf because I’ve spent years defending him on here and have been studying his legal cases and life for nearly 13 years but still. It’s ridiculous to me.
Michael Jackson was not a criminal. There is irrefutable evidence of him being extorted by the accusing families. The prosecution tampered with state evidence in his trial, and were caught. They threw everything but the kitchen sink at that man and they still couldn’t get a conviction. They couldn’t even get him on a misdemeanor. He was found not guilty 14 times in a row for a fucking reason. He was never even charged with owning CP, either, nor was he ever found to have looked for anything of the sort.
He was investigated by numerous police departments, CPS, and the FBI. It has been 32 years since he was first accused, and to this day, there remains ZERO evidence he ever hurt a child. His first accuser in 1993 even said that his father wanted money, and we have tape recordings of the father literally talking about his extortion plot on a phone call. All of this is documented, verifiable evidence. It is public record. It’s completely free to access.
He was accused again in 2003 by a family that had already falsely accused a company and committed other financial crimes who were looking for a payout, and went to trial and absolutely crushed the prosecution. They tried to prosecute him for owning legal playboy magazines and other such pornography of adult women.
It was a unanimous not guilty verdict.
They spent 5 million dollars witch-hunting him. And millions more lying on him in the press. Hundreds of people who knew Michael as children have publicly defended him both before and after death. Maybe spend some time actually pulling the court documents and FBI files before you condemn a dead man who isn’t here to defend himself anymore because he was fucking murdered. 😒😒😒

You never celebrate your birthday but Michael wants to show you how special you are (part 1 of Pookie’s bday extravaganza)
You never celebrated your birthday. It was always the same thing every year. You would try to plan your birthday and then you'd get sad about your birthday. Everything would go to shit the week before and you would give up. A good birthday cry was always on your schedule.
The last few years you did not celebrate. Michael would get you a cupcake with a single candle on it for you to make a wish. You both would sit on a floor in one of his empty rooms and "celebrate" together. You didn't think it would change anything no matter how hard you tried. Michael however, believed it would eventually work. That's just how he is.
This year would be different though. He would be planning something just for you. A surprise party because he felt like everyone should feel special on their birthday. He smiled brightly at his amazing idea as he immediately started writing words down on scrap paper. He was great at keeping secrets so surprising you was the easy part. The hard part was keeping you away from the house.
The day before he told you that you could not come over because he wouldn't be there. He claimed he had rehearsals to tend to. When you asked why you couldn't just hang out with Janet, he immediately said Janet wasn't going to be home either. You pouted before taking his excuse because you assumed not a single Jackson would be home. Michael felt bad for lying to you but it was for your own good.
Michael bought so many balloons and decorations. He knew exactly what music you wanted played and snacks you'd like. He was so proud of himself. He wanted this birthday to be one you could look back on forever. Him and his siblings high five each other before they shut the lights off and get ready for tomorrow.
The next morning Michael came knocking at your door. You groaned as you looked over at your alarm as it read '10:15am'. You flopped back down on your pillow debating if it was worth it to get up at this ungodly hour. You ended up dozing off once more before Michael had to use his spare key. He rolled his eyes at the scene, he and Janet looked at each other before jumping on your bed causing all three of you to bounce.
"Happy birthday!" They hollered as they squished you making you groan in annoyance.
They made sure to dress you up nice for the party. You couldn't be the only one not up to dress code. Janet did your hair and makeup before putting your cheeks together, and smiling brightly in the mirror. You cracked a small smile before your eyes traveled to Michael's reflection. You knew he was up to something, he always was.
The two nearly ripped you in two as they tried to drag you out of the house. You told them countless times that you didn't want to leave the house. They told you countless times that they didn't care. You eventually let them pull you to the Jackson residence where it seemed normal as ever. You groaned as you stood there waiting for Michael to unlock the door.
"SURPRISE!" Everyone yelled as confetti was popped on you. Your heart was beating out of your chest.
"What is this?" You asked as you uncovered your ears. Janet rolled her eyes at your dumb question.
"It's a surprise party, duh." She answered making you glare at her while Michael stifled a laugh.
"Come on." He waved you over.
He showed you everything that the family set up. You gave hugs, hello's, and thank you's along the way. You were grateful that they thought about you today of all days. Something warmed inside you as your eyes watered. The party went as planned with karaoke, dancing, (which Michael beat you in) and games. You were having the time of your life. You didn't want it to end.
At the very end they sang you happy birthday to which, you had to sing the rest. You were exhausted from it all but you didn't regret not kicking the two troublemakers out. You sat by the pool as your feet waded in the water. Your dress bunched as you sat on the cool concrete. You heard the back door open causing you to look up.
Michael smiled as he crouched beside you to put his feet in the water. You both watched as the sun began to set. A comforting silence between you two as you listened to the water splash against the siding. You thought today would be like the years prior but here came Michael as he always did. Your gaze flickered towards him as he smiled at the stars in the sky.
"Did you have fun?" He asked not looking away from the starry sky.
You smiled widely as you thought back to today. "I did. Thank you."
"Don't thank me yet." He lifted himself to stand. He held his hand out for you to take. You were skeptical but took it anyway.
You both dried your feet and ran inside. Michael was filled with giggles as he pulled you along. You reached that same empty room you'd always be in on your birthday. It didn't feel solemn this time but familiar. Michael pulled you in before guiding you to a cushion to sit on. He lit something away from you, making sure you couldn't see it.
"Happy birthday, ❀" He whispered as he held up a cupcake with a singular candle.
You smiled as your gaze flickered up to his. He couldn't wipe his excitement off his face. He didn't hand you the cupcake—just held it for you. You didn't know what to wish for this year. Better luck? Motivation? To be braver? The possibilities were endless, truly.
"Make a wish." He spoke softly as he pushed the cupcake towards you. You closed your eyes and thought to yourself.
"I wish—" Michael covered your mouth. You peeked an eye open as giggled behind his hand.
"If you say it out loud it won't come true." He breathed a laugh making you grab his wrist and lower his hand.
"I don't think I have to worry about that." You smiled softly at him. You could see him becoming shy.
"I wish for us to always be this close. Not just me and you but all of us. I wish we could always spend time together like this. I hope we never grow apart." You spoke genuinely. You opened your eyes and blew out the candles.
Michael smiled as you both hugged each other. He swayed you both side to side before pulling away. He kissed your cheek before you split the cupcake with him. The perfect end to a once not so perfect day. You had Michael to thank for turning this year around for you. You wouldn't have had it any other way.
