“Nora?” She called out softly. “Sono io, Laela.”

Laela took a deep breath before she raised her hand to knock on the door. But just as her knuckles were about to make contact with the solid wood she hesitated and suddenly she regretted even making her way all the way here. “Forse non è nemmeno dentro.” She muttered to herself before turning around to walk all the way back to her own room. “Questo è sciocco.”

This was the silliest idea that she had ever had just because she felt in over her head with everything that has been happening and she needed someone that whose presence just puts a smile on her face. But she had not seen the blonde around the isola for a long while now and she grew a little worried that something may have happened - not thinking that perhaps they just did not want to see her. 

NORA WAS DISTRACTED BY a random TV program. ---- Until she heard a familiar voice she hasn't listened to ages. Was she imagining things or Laela was on her door? As the curiosity was killing her, she went to open up the doors, when she saw the beautiful Italian brunette going away... ❛ Bellissima, is something wrong? ❜ Her voice was firm and loud enough to make a presence to the other.

Surprised by her answer, Thierry made his way inside. He thought for sure she was in the middle of something. “Cool,” was all he said while entering and closing the door behind him. He wasn’t allergic to rabbits or any other animal for that matter. Placing the baggie on the table, he pulled out his pipe and began to pack some bud into it. “Wine, if that’s what you’re having. If not, water is fine,” he glanced at her with a smile and took a seat on her sofa. He then went back to preparing the pipe for them, giving it a light to get it going. It had been awhile since they last smoked together. When Thierry wasn’t being his introvert self, he was spending time with Jack and making sure his royal stayed out of trouble. His mouth continued to puff on the pipe until he got a sufficient hit within his lungs. Holding it for a few seconds he then let the puff of smoke out slowly.

NORA WENT TO fill with red wine for both of them, she enjoyed the moment where she was picking drinks for them, to give a treat for Bonnie, that hop back to her bedroom with the treat in her mouth.

A few minutes later she back with the wines, handing a glass filled to Thierry, and other to herself and she put the bottle on the center table, sitting right by his side. That was a bit odd, since both of them aren't exactly close friends, but they share the love for 'drugs'. ❛ Red wine, from Portugal. ❜

Adalicia was far from being brave, especially at this moment. The water had barely touched her and the weenie she is - she freaked. Even at the mention of Nora helping her with getting over her fear - her heart stopped. There was no way she was willing to step another toe in the water again. However, how much more of a coward would she look in front of the blonde pirate? At least seeing her start to rid of her clothes took her mind off of it but she left like she was evading her personal space so, she looked down at her bare feet, till - she felt her taking her hand and speaking up once more. A tight smile formed as she replied, 

“The whole point would be so everyone can stop saving me…being worried about me.” And so, she wasn’t a wreck every time she had to leave the villa. Still, Ada hasn’t told Alex what happened and probably never was but that didn’t stop her from often going over to the new villa she was in for what she constantly tells her friend, I just miss hanging out with you. She hates that her incident still haunts her, hates that since that day- she truly changed; became more and more of an introvert. Only interacted with others when she had to, which honestly - wasn’t very often. 

Releasing Nora’s hand, she offered her a gratitude like smile. “I appreciate everything you’ve done for me, Nora - really but it wouldn’t be right to continue asking you for things.” 

NORA LOOKED AT ADA GIVING her a warm smile. ❛ I know your point. I just want to pull the trigger within you, so you can show everybody nobody needs to save you but yourself.❜ She felt the tiny brunette releasing her hand. ❛ You didn't ask, I just offered. ❜ That was true, it's not often the blonde goes willingly helping out people. Normally she is in an awful mood.

But Ada makes things different to her. Which she couldn't explain. ❛ Last call. ❜ In regards to getting in the sea with her to fight the fear of the water. Then she walked towards her clothing, seeking for her cigarette when she found it and light it up with the lighter she found with her ciggy.

The sound of Nora’s voice verified she was home, and tucked away in her room, where Roza assumed the blonde would be. With cake in hand, as well as a fine wrapped box filled with a few things Roza put together, the surgeon walked over and pushed open Nora’s door. “Listen Flanagan, if I wanted to fuck me, you shouldn’t have introduced me to your sister,” she said calmly but clearly joking on the matter. She stepped in and placed the neatly wrapped box beside Nora and still held the cake. “Now, I can either ruin all this hard work and toss this cake at you, not to worry I’ll be sure to avoid little Bonnie, or you can sit up, open your gift, and have a piece of cake.” Her eyes scanned over Nora then to the box beside her, in it held a framed photo of the two, a large crocheted blanket of Nora’s favorite color, made by Roza, a new knife sharpened to a point, and a card explaining what each item was. A picture for memories, a blanket for Nora to cuddle when she felt alone and Roza wasn’t around, and the knife, because she knew Nora collected them. 

NOTHING, AGAIN NOTHING WOULD scare Roza. The brunette is the only friend she has, maybe Ada, but their relationship is quite awkward. But anything with Nora is awkward. --- She sat straight on her bed and picked up the gift. ❛ Thank you. ❜ Unwrapping it, calmly... ❛ Why don't you sit down?  Don't throw this cake at me. ❜ She warned. --- The blanket was beautiful, with black and red, the photo... Of course, she remembers that day they took it together and, the knife is beautiful... That should go with her personal collection. ❛ I really like all my gifts. ❜

“What the fff—” Eli jumped back, hands held out to stop the -fucking bullets being aimed at him. God, he hated this piracy shit. He was a Doctor for crying out loud. He’s not meant to have goddamn guns pointed at him. “What the hell is the matter with you?” Eli yelled at Nora, demanding an explanation “You just wave guns at people now?!” 

“Fucking fuck Nora.” he spat, rare for a man who hardly ever swore. His hands rested on his hips as he stared at her. This wasn’t the reunion he had been imagining. “I dropped the damn cupcake.” he muttered under his breath as he went into her villa, being sure to close the door behind him. God knows who she was actually expecting. 

With the gun on the table and pointed away from him, now, Elias could calm down. And take a proper look at the woman.Still as heart-breakingly beautiful as ever. Maybe even moreso now.  “I don’t mean to yell. I’m - I am not used to this.” he admitted. “I wanted to see how you were. I heard about your fiance.”   

NORA DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO respond to his reaction, nor even having an answer to his question. Only... ❛ I'm sorry, I've thought you were someone else, so I could prank. ❜ That was half-true not exactly a lie. Anyway, the blonde was so unsure of what to do at the moment. It was kind of amusing seeing him cursing... As if she was watching a child smoke, which is kinda cool but also very DISBURTUBING. ❛ I said I'm sorry. ❜ She repeated her words emphatically.

He was prettier than what she remembers, the blonde gunner crossed her arms across her own chest, and checking him out discreetly with her stoic expression. ❛ Do you want a drink or something? ❜ The bunny was hopping around until finding its owner. ❛ This is Bonnie Flanagan, the bunny. ❜ She points to the albino bunny. Her slightly expression on her face vanished when he spoke about her fiance.

He had loved her. That never quite went away, no matter how far apart they drifted, or how much time had passed. It faded, but he would always remember the need to keep her safe, to protect her from all that life could throw. 

Of course he had been naive, then, to think it would last. Naive to think he could protect her from anything. She had lost so much. He could hardly imagine her pain now. He had heard about the accident from mutual friends. He heard of how she withdrew from society and eventually, to piracy. Funny how all the women in life ended up running to piracy.

Standing outside her villa, he held a cupcake in his hand, stolen from the medbay treats Roza usually gives to the patients. He wasn’t sure how she’d react to seeing him. They didn’t part on the best of terms. He doubted she even knew he was here. At the very least, it’d be funny to see the look on her face. After knocking on the door, he waited for it to open. It wasn’t every day that you saw your ex on an illegal pirate island in the middle of nowhere. What does someone say after so many years? 

 “… Happy birthday?”

NORA WAS BUSYING HERSELF with some stuff she stole from the infirmary, to do chemical experiments. ----- James would say, that's the moment when Nora has Frankenstein's crisis. So focused on science and experiments. She misses her old job as a chemical engineer. But now is too late to cry over spilled milk.

Bonnie, her bunny was hopping around her villa, near Nora, when she was o the kitchen, doing her experiments which... It doesn't look like improving. It sucks because Nora is a perfectionist to certain things. But then suddenly she heard the door knocking.

For a brief moment, she thought about Carlos but he wouldn't knock. Then Roza. Roza is too bold, so she would invade her place instead of knocking. She picked her gun and went to her door... Maybe Thierry? To smoke some weeds... They aren't close friends but they like to smoke together.

When she opens the door holding her gun, then pointed in the direction whoever is on her door, she lowered her gun again. ❛ Elias? ❜ Her ex. To be clear, the blonde never thought she'd see him again after all those years. ❛ My birthday already passed. You and Roza are the only ones who reminds... ❜ She trailed off. Letting the door wide open for him to come and she put her gun on the table.

Rubbing at her temples she sighed at how ridiculous she actually was being. Yes, a traumatic experience happened to take such an effort on her but the way she was raised, fear was just another weakness and no Ferdinand was allowed to have any. Getting over her fear, it was more so of making sure she didn’t disappoint her family - again, then just trying to not be afraid of the thing that constantly surrounds her. 

Being caught in her own head she didn’t hear the other approaching, thus when she heard Nora speak up she jumped and turned back quickly moved away from the waves washing up on the shore. God, she hated being afraid of the damn water! “What? No - I - I don’t think I could ever do that.” She walked a bit closer to Nora with her arms folded though stiffened when she asked what she was doing. “Nothing I was…” No excuse came to her mind for what she was doing, besides she didn’t hide anything from the blonde pirate - why start now? 

“Ever since what happened, I have been….afraid to go back into the water and considering how much I used to love the water….” She looked down at her feet more embarrassed now than she’s ever felt. “I don’t like feeling afraid of anything, especially something that I am now constantly surrounded by. I thought if I could get my feet in the rest of me would follow.” 

NORA WATCHED ADA GETTING closer. Finishing her cigarette, taking a moment to consider her words. --- ❛ What if we fight together? Your fear... ❜ The blonde didn't have anything else to do. In the silence, she began to strip from her clothing, staying only on her black lingerie, and she uncharge her gun before put it on the sand.

She took Ada's hand. ❛ I'll be here. I saved you once, I can save you twice. ❜ The blonde was being an optimist about the situation if her presence helps her out to fight fear, then why not?  -----  Besides, she knows exactly what is like being scared of something and then tries to fight the fear against it.

Damn it, did he had the wrong person? would he had to start this all over again with someone else? Cause he really didn’t wanted to have to do this a second time. “I wanted to thank her for helping Ada.” He decided to use the word help instead of saving, her sister took a while to tell him what had happened so he assumed she wouldn’t want everyone to know  and he was going to keep her secret. “do you know where I can find Nora?” Maybe he should do this later, eat something and look for the woman another time

Thierry tried to prevent his jaw from dropping to the floor at the sight of Nora in nothing more than a black, silk robe. What lied underneath certainly was a mystery, one he shouldn’t even be thinking about given a lot of things. Clearing his throat, the French gunner realized maybe an impromptu visit wasn’t the best idea after all. “Je suis vraiment désolé. Es tu occupé?” For all he knew, she could be in the middle of some other company. Pulling out his baggie, he held it up for Nora to see and said, “If you aren’t busy I figured we could have a smoke. Catch up and all that good stuff,” he smiled at her, trying to remain looking above her shoulder blades and no where south of that region. 

NORA LOOKED AT THIERRY, IGNORING his reaction about her clothing, and waited to see what he wanted. --- ❛ No. I'm free. ❜ The blonde gunner barely has friends, definitely, there isn't any company besides her bunny. She arched a brow at his suggestion, as an answer she entered inside of her place, leaving the door wide open to Thierry. ❛ You can come inside, unless if you're allergic to bunnies. ❜ She said while gathering the chemical books on her sofa, and threw it on the table center.

“Don’t be such a drama queen” said Aoife, rolling her eyes. “Of course I remember you exist. You’re the one who keeps disappearing on me.” She was surprised by her sister’s words. “What’s got you in such a mood, anyway?” she asked Nora.

The sun was beginning to tuck behind the ocean’s horizon and even though she was starting to feel a bit better, there was still one thing hanging over her head. At this point, she would petition the pirates to relocate her to a desert. Being surrounded by the one thing you are now deathly afraid of, it wasn’t fun. Thus why the Netherlands’ Princess often went to the shoreline to at least allow the waves to touch her toes but the anticipation and the sound were enough to make her feel weak and would pass out if it touched her. Before it was once every few weeks, then two weeks, then a few more times every week, to now every day where she truly tried to become friends with the water once again. However, this trial was done at night for there were fewer people around to walk upon her and ask her what she was doing or if she was okay.

Once the sun fully set and the dark sky took over the island - Ada dressed in shorts and her long sleeve sweater shirt, leaving her hair down and leaving the villa barefoot. “Okay…it’s time to stop being a child Ada. You are completely fine.” She breathed as she stepped closer and closer to where the waves stopped on the shore. Only being an inch away from the water touching the tips of her toes, her breathing picked up and she instantly felt light-headed. Maybe if she closed her eyes it would be better? Taking a deep breath she straightened up and closed her eyes, self-talking her self that she can do this, but the instant the water touched her feet she jumped back and squealed, her heart-stopping, dropping and beating against her chest all at the same time. 

Now…now she was convinced that she will never get over her fear of the water.

NORA WAS MINDING HER OWN BUSINESS when she heard the familiar squeals from the beach. There are two options that the blonde wanted to get attention to the brunette. Being one of them shooting on the air, since she held her gun on her hand and secondly is throwing a knife near her. She's a gunner and her aims were good. ----  But she didn't do anything, instead, she went to check her out to see if she's fine.

She walks sneakily noticing that the brunette hasn't noticed her presence as the same and old usual meetings, Nora rested her foot on the rock, putting her gun on her belt, while she picked up a cigarette and light it up. Inhaling the smoke inside her lungs. ❛ Are you planning on suicide? I don't want to get my clothes wet to save you again.  ❜ She blows the smoke from her mouth, feeling the wind blowing her hair.

❛ But I’m done with you.  ❜ NORA DOESN’T GET WHY HE keeps talking to her, but then, again the gunner isn’t much friendly. She barely has friends. And she nowadays anti-social.

NORA WASN’T SURE WHY HE WANTS to make her company. —- ❛ Why not? We aren’t friends. I just take orders from you and your family, obviously. ❜ In another other, she’s saying she’s just an employee.
