Noor’s personality is pure chaos. She is definitely a self-absorbed snob, but she also can extremely empathetic. While she doesn’t really know how to handle or show emotion, she does often want to show people she empathizes, and her way of doing that is throwing money or gifts at them - after all, that’s what makes her feel better. She can be extremely condescending, though she often doesn’t realize it - she holds herself to high standards, and essentially applies them to everyone around her. She doesn’t understand people not sharing her ambition, and her disdain for that often rubs off on how she views them in general, even if otherwise she has no issues with them.
When she cares for you, she cares for you. She is extremely bad at expressing it, so like said above, she does tend to throw money at those people - though she does that with everyone, not just those she really cares for. She will turn into a sugar mama for someone she cares about with no prompting, and treat them to everything possible. If there’s one thing Noor hates that isn’t just focused on herself, it’s seeing the people she cares for go without - even if it’s without some ridiculous designer handbag they only ever said they thought was pretty. She can be almost alarmingly earnest underneath her cool exterior, mostly because she doesn’t really know how to express she cares for someone when it doesn’t involve just spending all her money on them.
She is also extremely charming, to the point where it veers into pure manipulation. Noor is spoiled, and wants what she wants, expecting to get it, so she will not hesitate to lie if that’s what it takes to accomplish it. She really wants to be worshipped, so she presents what she has to to someone, disguising her negative traits if necessary, so they adore her in the way that she wants them to. Even if she doesn’t particularly like someone, she still wants them to like her.
Noor, as is fitting for someone who wants to be the center of attention, also wants to be worshipped. That goes for people she likes, and those she does not. In relationships, she expects her partner to worship her completely, and she often toys with them until they do - at the expense of the other’s mental state, for sure. She can be a bit of a sloot (in a good way) and definitely will make out with anyone (plus go further...), just because she loves the attention and adoration that comes with it. She definitely looks for validation in attention from other people.
Most importantly, though, Noor is all about aestheticsm. She does things for the ‘gram - she does things for how they look. She is always down for a good time, but not if she’s alone in a room with other people. She wants to be out having a good time where everyone can see it and be jealous. She wants to be surrounded by beautiful people and beautiful things and document it so those who aren’t beautiful enough to be around wish they were. For Noor, an emotion isn’t worth having unless someone is around to react to it - her entire life is basically one large art performance.

BIOGRAPHY
Saengdao Chaidi was born in Dubai, to two wealthy Thai parents who had moved to the UAE due to business opportunities. Since most Thai people are given a nickname at birth - often times becoming more known as that then their actual name - they decided to call her Noor, which was the Arabic word for light, very similar to the given name they gave her, which means starlight in Thai. Noor was only a toddler when the Chaidi family decided to move to England, so she grew up really only knowing Cambridge. Despite not living in Thailand, Noor never hesitated to give people her families background - namely, that she’s descended from Thai royalty, and as one may expect from someone who drops that routinely, she acts like a princess, and expects to be treated like one at all times. In some ways, she is your typical trust fund princess, and she often throws money around like it’s disposable to her (because it is).
Noor grew up not as close with her parents, but extremely close with her two maternal aunts, who in some ways were more like sisters - they were a decade younger than Noor’s mothers, so they were always the coolest role models to Noor. One of them, Malee, an art dealer who lived between Dubai, Paris, Bangkok and London, always seemed like the coolest person in the world to Noor, and she grew up wanting to emulate her in almost every way. That was what led Noor to wanting to be an artist, something she learned fairly young in life that she was quite talented at. She loves painting, she loves the aesthetism of art, and having an in to the art world to help her future success definitely doesn’t hurt - Noor never planned to be anything but successful.
She originally wanted to go to school in Paris, to be closer to Malee, but ended up deciding on Luxor. Luxor was the exact type of school someone like Noor coveted - it drew people of high status in all sorts of way. Royalty (and not just those descended from it, like she was), celebrities and their children, the richest people around the globe, basically anyone she could ever want to rub elbows with. Noor had always wanted the best for herself, and Luxor was the best. Combining that with her artist talents, Noor knew she would make every connection she could ever possibly desire while at school, and what else was college for, if not networking? Noor’s career ambitions may seem at odds with her love for shopping and talking about herself, but ultimately, she’s a very determined girl who is set on keeping herself in the lifestyle she deserves.

“Not nearly enough,” Luca answered coolly. They were leaned back in a state of ease, admiring the prim smirk on Noor’s lips as she leaned toward him. “I’m saying it now, aren’t I?” he taunted, practically begging Noor to eat her own words. Luca appreciated her eagerness to cater to their needs, it practically confirmed Noor’s fascination with him. They grinned at her assertion, hovering their face along the side of her face even as she refused to look at him. “Those are some hefty promises,” Luca teased, his breath traveled up her neck to her ear. “And if I was looking to cash in on them?” he questioned softly, tilting his head to press a kiss to the underside of her jaw. She could act as high and mighty as she wanted to, if anything it gave Luca incentive to break through the act. They chuckled, astounded with the audacity of this girl as their head tilted toward the ceiling. “That ass is what I’m thinking about. Spread some love, Noor, and do a guy a favor,” Luca said obnoxiously.
-
“You are saying it now. I guess we’ll have to fix that, hm?” Noor said in a low purr, eyes meeting Luca’s straight on, her expression not faltering in the slightest as he tried to rise to the challenge. “Though I do hope you have enough to barter with, if you’re looking to cash in. Such promises don’t come cheap,” she said, a small sigh leaving her lips, as if ready to be disappointed. “Pretty sure it’s not love you want me to spread,” Noor murmured in response, uncrossing her legs as she shifted in her seat, knees widening to spread her legs slightly, before crossing the other leg over her knee, as if simply shifting her position, glancing over at Luca as she did so. She tilted her head to one side, gauging his reaction with an amused smile on her face, knowing this was one game she could always win. “Is this a favor I’ll be able to call in later? For one of my own?” she asked, her hand finding their leg again, glancing up at him through her eyelashes, the innocent expression staying on her face even as she slid her hand up to rest on the inside of his thigh.
It shouldn’t have surprised him. Bar games didn’t exactly scream her speed, which perhaps was only further proof to just how out of touch he’d been over the past couple of weeks. “Is that so?” He mused, attention now fully drawn from the boy at the end of the bar, refocused on Noor as his eyes shamelessly scaled her figure. He could only imagine what his little disappearing act had signified to her and while it had little to do with why he was actually gone, he didn’t hate the idea that perhaps it made her squirm just a little bit. “Out of practice? Take that as a bit of a challenge.” He murmured, picking up his glass as a drink was brought to him and taking a proper sip from it. “Alright. New game. Kid like that. Half pissed to hell. How long you think it would take you to make his sad little night?”
-
Noor pouted her lower lip out at Carew when he looked back towards her, batting her eyelashes at him as she weighted for the weight of his neglect to really settle. “As you should,” she confirmed, reaching out to lightly pat his forearm, her fingers trailing along the inside of his arm before she pulled away, grabbing the drink that had been set in front of her. A small laugh left her lips, Noor rolling her eyes as she met Carew’s expression with a raise of one eyebrow, before glancing back towards the male. “Shouldn’t you be the one trying to make his sad little night, if you’re looking for a challenge? Or is the challenge watching me making his night and seeing how long you can keep your hands off before I make yours?” Noor murmured, leaning in to keep her voice low as she spoke to Carew, the words quiet enough that he’d have to lean in to to hear them. “Ten minutes. Unless you want me to actually seal the deal, in which case I’ll say thirty,” she answered as she straightened up, lifting the glass to her lips finally and downing it in one smooth swallow.
parker’s auburn brows rose at the mention of murder, a series of high-risk, flashy, and admittedly sexy scenes flitting through her mind like someone rapidly flipping through a novel. double jeopardy. who framed roger rabbit. invisible man. the aforementioned gone girl. hypothetically, it was funny, the redhead even allowing a scoff-like laugh to leave her. hypothetically, it was almost tempting, to just set fire to the world around them like that. but what made setting fire to the world so appealing on screen was the fact that it wasn’t realistic. it never actually ended well.
“don’t worry, any haircuts are simply a means of concealing our identities,” parker assured. given a few seconds to ponder the thought, though, she took some locks between her thumb and pointer finger and looked down at them—the way the light reflected against the color, making it appear more vibrant. “on second thought, maybe we just get wigs.” with self-teasing grin, parker took a few steps towards where noor had perched, lifting her sunglasses so that they could rest atop her head. “in all seriousness, though, i’m in the mood to go out tonight. makeout with a hot stranger. use fake names and histories. you in?”
-
“Surely if we wanted to conceal our identities, the better way to do that would be wigs,” Noor agreed, lifting her hand to shield her eyes as she peered up at Parker, the smile on her lips making it clear how she felt about that suggestion. “You seriously have to ask if I’m in? If I’m down to toy with a mans emotions like that? Oh, babes, I’ve never been more in on anything,” she said, preening in the sun at even the idea of it. “What are our histories? Are we on the run? Or lovers looking for a third? I can think of plenty of different ways we can take this,” she said, this exactly the type of thing Noor looked forward to doing while on a night out. “But you’re the actor. I can leave that up to you - leave making us looking hot enough to pull any story off to me.”

One thing was certain, getting outed to the entire school for the work he did wasn’t ideal. In fact it was a whole population of rich kids with wealthy parents that were now suspect of him. Or at least he felt like they were. Never mind the reality that most of them likely had their heads so far up their own asses that they’d long since forgotten. It still a risk he didn’t want to take, which meant more of these events were going to be on the rise for them. “Plan is simple. We mingle round a bit. We wait for our contact, and by the end of the night we may even be driving out of here in something nicer than we rolled up in. Worst case scenario, you may have to ditch the shoes and we run. We’ll see where the night takes us.”
-
Noor’s steps stuttered as she glanced up at Carew, blinking a few times at him. “Ditch the shoes?” she echoed, her fingers tightening where they grasped his arm. “Absolutely not. These are Louboutins,” she said in a low voice, her tone somewhat menacing as she continue to clutch at Carew. “Do you know how much you’d owe me?” she said with a sigh, shaking her head with an air of disappointment, before letting her gaze scan around, finally glancing back at Carew after a few moments. “Other than that, I suppose your plan sounds good to me,” Noor said lightly.
There were times that business had kept him busier than usual. Sometimes even busier than he’d like which meant the frequency that he’d been able to stop by had drastically changed. Between that, issues at home that he’d had to attend to, and his studies, Spring Break really was the first break he’d had in a while. So it didn’t come as much of a surprise when Noor found him seated at the bar. “Course I would love. Just figured putting a little wager on it could spruce up a bit of fun.” He teased as he tapped on the bar to signal another round. “Both on me.” He assured the bartender as he gave her a look. “Now as for our friend…”
-
“A wager about if he’s going to faceplant into his ketchup?” Noor echoed, her eyebrows arching upwards on her forehead as she finally deigned the other male with a glance, before looking back at Carew. “I don’t find that much fun, but I’m sure we can think of something,” she said, voice dropping a little as she leaned an elbow onto the bar, propping her chin in her hand with her eyes settling onto the male sitting next to her. Noor wouldn’t admit it outright, but perhaps she had somewhat missed Carew, bored without him coming around. Plus, there was the slight lingering paranoia that he was pissed to her, thanks to Jack and all. “Surely that’s not the best thing you can think up when it’s been so long since we have had fun. Are you out of practice, babes?” she said with a sing-song, teasing tone to her voice.
“Quiet for you is dangerous,” Bowie pointed out. Silence was a hard concept between the two, that was certain. If they knew any better, they probably would have been able to avoid the constant turmoil in their collision had they simply learned to say excuse me and move along. But alas, Bowie and Noor needed to bite in order to prove themselves. They just went about in the very way that dug deep into the other’s skin. “Quiet means you’re planning something. I was wondering if this place was ‘up to par’ for Noor Chaidi. I was expecting a strongly written apology from the administration, or maybe peace if you weren’t around. But I doubt you’d even miss a thing like this. You’d have to engage in just the principle of it, right? So, what do you think about it?”
“I can be dangerous whether or not I’m being quiet,” Noor immediately volleyed back, knowing that half her talent was the barbs dripping from her lips, the sense of ease she coaxed out of people when she needed to - no, her danger didn’t come in her silence, but rather in what she didn’t say.
She crossed her arms, considering Bowie for a few moments longer, giving a lackadaiscal shrug after a few moments. “I have no complaints,” she said with a cluck of her tongue, shaking her hair back out over her shoulders. “Please. If I wasn’t here....” Noor let her voice trail off, the words soaking into the space between them before she continued on. “Boredom isn’t the same as peace, you know,” she murmured, still not continuing in her steps, trying to gauge what Bowie was going for before she dismissed him in her walk back to her villa. “The principle of an all expenses paid vacation? Yeah, I suppose I do have to engage in it. But you’re here. So you do too, clearly.”

Carew showing up at her room unannounced wasn’t a new phenomenon. Carew going through her closet and deciding what she was going to wear? Also not new. It wasn’t even the first time he was taking her to a car show. But Noor refused to believe this was potentially the start of any sort of routine, instead just leaning into the role of the Bonnie to his Clyde. What an aesthetic movie, after all. She looped her arm through Carew’s elbow, leaning her chin onto his shoulder as she glanced up at him. “So what’s the plan?” Noor murmured, speaking into his ear so the words were just between them, not missing how his eyes were scanning around.

“So don’t look now, but this guy at the end of the bar has been falling asleep over his plate of fries for the past 10 minutes. I’d bet you a shot he’s only got another couple minutes or so before he ends up with a face absolutely covered in ketchup.” He mused as he leaned back in his seat, side eyeing the student who’d clearly had a few too many. “Some people just can’t handle their liquor can they?”
-
Noor’s eyebrows furrowed together, not even glancing towards the guy Carew was talking about, her lower lip slipping outwards in a pout. “You mean you wouldn’t buy me a shot regardless?” she asked, leaning backwards in her seat, one leg crossed over the other, an impatient tap of her foot against Rew’s leg under the table accompanying the question.
“I don’t suppose you’re any good with cameras?” Ruby gave a hopeful look in the other student’s direction. “I promised my dad I’d stop studying long enough to take some pictures of the resort, but the instruction manual really didn’t account for this… oh well, I suppose I’ll just have to ditch it and go back to reading?”
-
A roll of her eyes and outstretched hand was Noor’s only response. While she didn’t consider herself a photographer first, she was an art student, and new her way around a camera. Especially one meant for novices, which clearly Ruby was. “Back to reading. Don’t sound so eager,” she said in a bored voice as she held it up to her eye, working on adjusting a few settings to make it truly automatic.
“Are you sure this is where you want to eat?” The girl had essentially been spoiling Bria all day, and it had only just started, yet here they were at a five star restaurant to have a simple lunch. She knew it didn’t mean much to the other to provide a day filled with such luxurious shopping and eating, but to Bria it was a big deal and she was more thankful than she could put into words. “Seriously, I’d be fine with the place back at the hotel!” Not that it was exactly much cheaper, but there it was covered and Noor wouldn’t have to come out of pocket for it all.
“No,” Noor said simply, raising up an eyebrow. “I dragged you all the way here, for us to actually be sat at a table, only to get up and cause a scene,” she continued, completely deadpan until she rolled her eyes. “Yes, this is where I want to eat. As I said at every other place we went to today, it’s on me,” she said with a wave of her hand, opening her menu to start glancing over it so Bria simply had to stop protesting.

The festivities has been like a wall between him and the ocean, and for sake of distraction, Bowie had done his best to give into it. After all, this is what he was paying for, right? Eventually, as he always did, Bowie found himself back at the ocean. The water was cold under his feet. March had a stronger chill here than it did at home, but it didn’t drive him away. He still looked to find comfort in it, though the water at night did bring a different peace of mind. It forced him to settle, the shore surely moving on forever but it was stopped in a pit of night. He couldn’t see a damn thing with the moon covered by sky. It was a contrast he should have expected. There was no denying that where he was had to be the safest place for now.
Seated right before those waters he needed to weary of, Bowie saw the cascade of dark hair. There was a brief pierce of curiosity upon her absence from before, but he had tucked it away and carried on. It felt like his mind was racing more than usual during what was suppose to be a break.
“Get lost on the way to the girls’ villa?”
Noor was walking along the shore back towards her villa in a meandering path, the lapping of the waves soothing as she carried her heels in her hand. She wasn’t one who fawned over the ocean, like a lot of people - perhaps too dependent on civilization and her hair continuing to look good to truly bask in it, but that didn’t mean she didn’t enjoy a luxury vacation overlooking it from time to time. She was distracted enough in her thoughts that she didn’t notice the figure sitting by the edge of the waves, though if pressed, she would’ve said it was merely due to how dark it was, the voice causing her chin to lift abruptly, the only sign of her being startled.
“No,” she answered lightly, pausing in her steps as she considered Bowie, now that she realized he was there. “Is it really that shocking that I may have wanted a quiet stroll down the beach?” she asked, raising an eyebrow at him, not that he’d see it in the dim lighting.

parker stood at the edge of the private pool, pupils absorbing blue as far as the eye could see. blue pool tiles, blue ocean water, blue skies. if she stared at it long enough, vision blurring rapidly at the lack of focus, she was convinced she’d be swallowed by it. not the worst thing that could happen throughout spring break, she thought decidedly—aware of the way her optimism had taken a solid hit over the last few months. or, more accurately, a series of jabs with varying force. some subtle and easy to recover from, others akin to a blow to the chest. the kind accompanied by such shock that it makes it difficult to breathe—to even remember to breathe, for a moment. and, of course, parker mulled over it all in the most ironic of ways: from the private pool of a luxury resort, nestled on an island in the indian ocean.
clearly, life was very hard at the moment. as though she had an audience, the redhead’s lower lip formed a pout. what could she say? with the sudden wave of loneliness that’d overcome her, it was hard to enjoy much today. well, save for her temporary roommate. her twin capricorn, her fellow artistic soul. a flicker of a smile managed to dance across her lips at the mere sound of her footsteps padding from behind. “i think i’m entering my gone girl era,” parker announced, coming to turn around a few seconds later. though sunglasses blocked her eyes, her growing smile hinted that she wasn’t all that serious. “how does… chopping off our hair and disappearing into town tonight, potentially never coming back sound?”
-
“Better idea,” Noor said as she wrapped her arms around Parker’s waist, pursing her lips to give the redhead an air kiss on the cheek. “Let’s frame a man for murder,” she stage whispered into her ear as she started to pull away, dropping an eyelid in a wink, as she met Parker’s eyes. She fluffed her hair with one hand, shrugging up her shoulders as she did so. “Though I suppose I could be convinced for a new haircut. If - and only if - we’re not doing it over a man,” she added after a moment, turning her face up to bask in the sun as she took a few steps back from Parker, considering the deck of their private pool for a moment.
“You should never cut your hair over a man. You almost always regret it, and why should they ever have the power to make you regret anything?” she added over her shoulder, lackadaisically wandering over to the sunniest spot and lowering herself into it, stretching into the light like a cat. “They should be the only ones feeling regret, after all.”
The Unhinged slipped this note to Bowie, paper clipped to a photocopied page from Noor Chaidi’s file, parts of it hastily redacted with black sharpie, and a note scrawled on the bottom to the pertaining info they had left visible:
Noor feels she is very similar to Jack. People don’t see that though, thanks to how manipulative she can be to ensure others see whatever she wants them to - make sure you mention you see right through this, just like the therapist did.
