Uh hi I got something to say about this shipping cult stuff and I donāt think you and Fly should be encouraging it.
NOW I aināt talking about the shipping part, thatās all fine and dandy and great fun! But the ācultā aspect is something that should be nipped in the bud. I know people think that calling their group chats ācultsā is funny but itās not. People in fandom spaces really do take this seriously with a strong enough echo chamber. I just worry that itāll lead to folks either hurting themselves or others. It may seem harmless now but look on Tik Tok with the āChildren of the Waning Starā. It started out as a joke but overtime folks took it seriously and became unhealthly attached.
Iām not saying that this shipping war made for fun should be dismantled, but the cult and reliougous themes should not be encouraged (especially if you're telling them to do their "cult rituals"). At best, it's weird, at worse, it could be dangerous.

I would know I grew up in a cult. it was terrible. I'm in therapy now!
usually i'd make a joke about my trauma but this is something i'm still actively working through.

but yes be careful throwing that term or being "Culty" or any religious themes oresent in a sense. please. its not something i want to encourage. you're absolutely right
