Deck Spotlight: The Antique Anatomy Tarot

Hello everyone! For today’s spotlight I am reviewing The Antique Anatomy Tarot!

I pre-ordered this deck months ago and I was so excited when it showed up last month. The cards are extremely unique and very thought provoking. The cards themselves are a little on the thin side but that makes them shuffle very smoothly. The backs of the cards have the four suits on them. They aren’t a mirror image upright and reversed so this would be one of the few decks I wouldn’t read reversals with. 

The two cards I tend to look for in any deck to see if I mesh with it is Death and Lovers. Both of these cards blow me away in this deck. I love the mix of beauty and darkness with the flowers and skulls. They are absolutely gorgeous.

The suits in this deck are elixirs, rods, coins, and blades. I like the elixirs as they show different tonic and potions and is a really neat twist on the traditional cups. 

The book is also full to the brim of useful knowledge such as the history of tarot, numerology, astrology, the elements, colors, taking care of your decks, and different spreads. Usually the books with decks only have the card descriptions so the wealth of knowledge this came with was a pleasant surprise. 

All in all, I 100% recommend this deck!

Stumbled on the most amazing teacup on Etsy today - it’s designed specifically for tea leaf divination and is absolutely gorgeous! It’s a bit expensive but it’s definitely going on my witchy wishlist!
