Maila : Quit the act, Bat. The only nightmare you are of is a clean room. Now why don’t you introduce yourself to the newblood?

Bat : Ok. I am Batista Vladislaus Straud XV. But you HAVE TO call me Bat. Vlad the first here is my grandgrandgrand or something. He was the first vampire so you know not to mess with me.

Lilith : He drinks his plasma packs with a spoon. Very spooky.

Bat : Either way we’re still the most influential family in the world and if I’m anything like him...

Caleb : Oh yes I see it now. You’re his REFLECTION.

Eyren : And why is your face like that?

Maila : I guess I am taking it form here. Thank you Bat. Being a vampire is great : eternal life. No sickness. No Harms. But it also comes with six pretty unmovable and cruel rules.

Rule 1 : Vampire-borns like Bat and our twins have more power. Until 21 they sleep, then their body ascends out of the human form. This is why Bat’s face is like that. Eyren and I could never.

Rule 2 : Sun kills you, always.

Rule 3 : No reflections.

Rule 4 : You have to drink human blood, never a vampire one.

Eyren : What happens if you drink a vampire’s blood?

Lilith : Hey Bat. You need to stop all of this.

Bat : Someone keeps throwing away plasma packs. I keep finding them outside my window and I won’t let them go to waste.

Caleb : You’re an embarrassment for the whole species.

Bat : I’m just a teen. I need to eat. I’m just 75 after all.

Eyren : Caleb? Lilith? You’re still alive? What the-

Maila : Oh no... this is going bad...

Eyren : What have you done? This is all your fault. You’re murderers!

Lilith : Calm down Newblood. We’ve been asked already. We haven’t seen anything.

Caleb : We’ve been spared cause we had just ascended. You saw it.

Eyren : Was that what it was? Did I witness you becoming vampires?

Bat : Oh I see Newblood is a smarta-

Eyren : Call me Newblood one more time. And who are you by thew way?

*Eyren is waiting in a room at the Academy after a night of sleepless sleep*

Eyren : *under his breath* She was supposed to be here already.

*Maila appears out of thin air right beside Eyren*

Maila : Were you talking about me?

Eyren : AAAAAHHHH! Was it really necessary?

Maila : Oh absolutely... for me. So... are you ready to meet thew rest of your class?

Eyren : What? There are more people?

Maila : Oh stop it. You’ll be just fine... mostly. Come on, let’s go!

*they enter the training room*

Eyren : There’s something el- AAAAHHH!

Maila : Please stop it. There is nothing to be afraid of.

Eyren : Ok so I am guessing THAT is completely normal.

*A woman is singing a song to little Eyren*

Maila : What did you expect?

Eyren : Definitely not a place that looks straight out a horror movie. So what exactly is this place?

Maila : It has many names, you may have heard some of them. Some call it “the Academy”, some call it “the Coven”, I’ve also heard the name “Infernum” going around. But as long as you are here there is just one you will call it.

Eyren : What’s that?

Eyren : So... what exactly do you mean “I am a vampire now”?

Maila : You know... undead, bloodsucking, eternal youth... all that jazz.

Eyren : How did that happen? I can’t remember anything.

Maila : There was an attack by a heard of strays. You’re the only survivor.

Eyren : I was with my boyfriend. Does this mean...

Maila : I am sorry. We checked the whole village. We foils no one else.

Eyren : That can’t be true. He was supposed to be right back.

Maila : I know this is a whole lot to process but we need to go.

Maila : We need to reach a place more suitable for your training.

*Eyren is playing his guitar when a dog approaches*

*the dog leaves*

*an unconscious body is seen on the ground. Looks familiar*

*Eyren approaches the body and notice a bad wound*

Eyren : Hey you ok? You have a very bad wound on your neck.

*Eyren starts to bite the body’s neck*

*Eyren is seen sleeping on a couch*
