For Venezuela 💔🇻🇪

Yesterday evening, my home country, Venezuela, was hit by two earthquakes of 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude back-to-back, with over 150 aftershocks since then (several of which were of similar magnitude), as many of you may have heard. I cannot describe the devastation. They affected the north-central region, but the most damage is in the capital, Caracas, and La Guaira. So far (06/25/26 ~4:10pm local time), the count goes almost 200 people dead, over a thousand injured, and ten of thousands missing… and counting. I don't know how many buildings collapsed completely, with a lot more with substantial damage. There are areas with no power, so many people lost their homes, all they had.

I'm writing this to ask a favor of you.

First, keep all Venezuelan people in your prayers. Keep in your prayers the victims, those trapped, their families, and the rescuers and volunteers doing their best to help.

If you know someone from Venezuela, give them your support. It means the world to us.

And I think that’s incredibly hilarious, when there’s an actual crisis where people are dying and in active danger no one says shit, but when it comes to talk shit about Trump? Oh yeah now everybody knows about Venezuela and is soooo eager to help.

It’s not even that this crisis isn’t well known, because I’ve seen multiple international news that are covering this mess. It’s just that when it comes to actually helping people instead of just talking crap from your comfy bed, nobody does anything.

If you were up in arms talking about Venezuela and our situation six months ago, then I think by moral obligation you should AT LEAST spread awareness of the fact that people are stuck under the rubble of their houses and multiple families have lost their homes and loved ones and have yet been able to find them.

Please speak about this, look up tiktoks and reels of missing people and make them viral, there are foreigners who are stuck and have no method of direct communication with their families. Anything to make sure that someone here has the information necessary to look for those who haven’t been found yet.

AND FOR ANYONE WHO WAS DEFENDING THE VENEZUELAN GOVERMENT IN JANUARY:

Students are protesting the horrible situation we are living in? They appear in less than 5 minutes with 200 armed men and start shooting! They steal the elections? There’s a bunch of patrolling officers checking your phone to see if you’ve been talking badly about them! But an actual national emergency??

Let me tell you something, it was the FIRST time that alarm sounded in Venezuela and many of us didn't know what it meant after the earthquake.

For example, I was talking with a student from Chile and she was the one who told me what it meant before it started, I was looking at my phone without understanding what what happening.
