Here's my story for day 1... Set during the Dark Disciple, Obi-Wan's just barely convinced the High Council to give Quinlan Vos one more chance to turn away from the Dark Side. Otherwise, they're going to execute him. If the mission goes wrong, then he'll have to be the one to do it. It's abhorrent. How could they even ask this of him? But, of course, the Council doesn't know he is in love with Quinlan.

From the single bench in the small patch of earth, Quinlan looked up. His shoulder length dreadlocks were in their usual high ponytail, secured by a leather cord that tightened using a small gold colored bead. Obi-Wan smiled at him, closing the door and joining him on the permacrete slab.
âHey,â Quinlan said. âWelcome back.â
âDid you miss me?â Obi-Wan teased.
Quinlan barked a laugh. âYou wish."

âObi?â Kit repeated with patience.
âMy hyperdrive ring disconnected mid-hyperspace. R4 and I are fine, and the ship is fine. But, the ringâs gone. Iâm near Karfeddion, though, so I plan to land and figure something out, likely head to Asmeru. No need for a rescue yet. I merely wanted to call it in per protocol.â
âKarfeddion?â Aayla said with some alarm.
âYes, according to R4âs scan.â
âMy masterâs there on a mission. Donât blow his cover,â she said.
Obi-Wanâs stomach did a little dance at the mention of Quinlan. He wouldnât be able to see him, of course, he knew that. Maybe heâd catch a glance, but they certainly couldnât interact. Definitely not with him landing in a Jedi Starfighter.
âI wonât. But thatâs helpful information to know, so thank you. He never tells me where he goes until after heâs back.â
âYes, he is rather good at his secrets,â Kit said, mouth quirking into a little smirk.Â
Just as Obi-Wan knew Kitâs secrets, the Nautolan knew his as well.
âWeâre in the next system over. We can be there in two standard days. No need to go to Asmeru, plus we can recover your ship for inspection,â Aayla said, very matter-of-fact.
âThank you. Iâll be on the surface. Just call when you exit hyperspace and Iâll meet you. No need to alert the locals to our rendezvous.â
âWhile youâre down there, try hard not to blow Quinlanâs, uh, cover.â Kit grinned, and Obi-Wan couldnât help the rushing heat to his face and neck.

I didn't have the opportunity to watch I Saw The Light or The Deep Blue Sea. Are they both good movies ? Should i bought the dvd ?

I havenât watched I Saw The Light and I wonât do it in the future for personal issues with the subject. From what I hear the movie isnât really good, because the direction is bad, but Tomâs performance as Hank Williams is really good.Â
The Deep Blue Sea is also a movie that depends on what you like. London in the 1950s. Married upperclass woman starts an affair with a younger WWII-pilot with PTSD. She demands deep love and security, he is living in the moment. Drama ensues. It is based on a theatre play and the movie is very theatre-like with some slow-motion and nice classical music. Itâs a solid, but slow-moving movie and the performances are great. For me it certainly had its wonderful moments, but it isnât one of my favourites.
So Iâm sorry, that I canât really be of help. I guess if you want to watch them and can get them cheap, it is never wrong to get a Tom-DVD. Especially since he is a the lead in both. If youâre not sure about the subject though, maybe try to rent them somewhere.Â
dear anon who didnât write me but I have thoughts on this, Deep Blue Sea is one of my favorites. Itâs everything @enchantedbyhiddles describes, and indeed is just dependent on what you like. I loved it though; thereâs so many quiet, subtle elements in it that resonated with me. But it is quite emotional and a bit depressing. I remember leaving it, after seeing it in the theater, and feeling just entirely raw emotionally. I needed time afterwards to compose myself and just feel things. Similar to my experience watching Cloud Atlas, but... I mean that one was a different emotion but similarly raw. I definitely recommend it, but watch it when youâre in the right space for a slow moving plot that is driven by character emotion more than by action.
i would hope this is self explanatory, but because tumblr is increasingly turning imo a bigger piece of shit as the days go on and because Instagram and twitter arenât great formats for sharing ficsâŚ.you guys really really need to support writers on ao3.
everytime you read a fic and enjoy it? leave a kudos. if you have 5 minutes free? leave a short comment (âloved it!â âgreat job!â âthis was so funnyâ âamazing workâ). hell, if you really enjoyed it, bookmark it. ao3 is pretty much the only platform that fandom writers can use at this point to post all of their writing and get a significant amount of engagement. itâs hard to get reblogs on tumblr on a good day, and twitter is basically only good for sharing headcanons and posting links.
engagement is the only way that we know a fic is worth continuing. if you want your favorite writers to keep updating and keep writing those fics you stay up until 3am writing, please tell us. please contribute to our stats. please rec fics. please share fics you like with your friends and followers. just rep writers as much as you can.
I know ppl talk about engagement metrics and âwrite for yourselfâ and everything, but when it comes down to it, the reason probably 95% of people write fic is, in part, to have a sort of conversation/interaction with fandom.
Not getting interactions and feedback make it not worth the effort a lot of times. This is not a guilt trip, just. This isnât anyoneâs job. This is a way theyâre attempting to INTERACT WITH OTHER FANS.
You need to engage if you want them to keep trying in a way youâre enjoying.
