okay so those of us who are completely separate from the binary just have to deal with being either erased or misgendered because nonbinary men and women exist? like stop trying to pit us against each other.

you're right. nonbinary isn't a third thing. it's also a fourth, a fifth, a sixth, an nth thing. it's infinite. we all deserve respect. nonbinary men and women deserve to be loved and desired in their entirety. nonbinary people who are separate from the binary too.

I'm almost genuinely in tears over the Tomodachi Life Living the Dream direct. I'm so happy. Being able to make a mii that represents me actually be Nonbinary is something I didn't know I would find so touching and exciting.

With the way things are right now in the world, I genuinely did NOT expect "nonbinary" to be an option in a freaking Nintendo game. I honestly thought they would gloss over the whole gender/romance thing as a whole but NO.

Households will play this, kids will see it; and its presence as an equally legitimate option, not a "secret" controversial & "inappropriate" thing could have a huge positive impact going forward, especially as it now sets the stage for other mainstream franchises to follow suit.
