I'm content with having it semi to what I want, but I still do want to release it has a "finished product"
not even for the glory of putting out cc, cause I didn't do much fanfare for the first hair back in january, & nobody is even checking for it
I'm doing this for the love of the game
honestly with how I am when it comes to activities/hobbies, I'm surprised I'm still attempting this.
i will be somewhat proud/pat myself on the back for seeing this through & finishing the hair
cause I do abandon nearly everything hobby wise, especially sims related stuff. because I either don't have the will or confidence. or just not feeling it anymore.
like my sims story, I still think about it but realistically I know I won't go back to it. for all the reasons I listed.
cause even with the long ass "liveblogging" posts, I was really going through it. and almost quick completely. (and the blog) the frustration cause it could be done but me floundering it wasn't getting healthy.

This is my second hair mesh edit & it shows.
I again did this for personal use but some people showed interest & I wanted to release it.
FAIR WARNINGS:
it is rough in places.
NO hat chops. (intended. I want the hair to "clip" through baseball caps)
unsupported, meaning that i most likely probably won't go back to fix errors in the future.
Should be base game compatible. (if not let me know via @non-sims)

and yeah it's not that necessary to pick a version but what I have going on, it's closer to this kinda
being very ambitious but I kinda want to do 3 versions: "neat" bun, "messy" bun, & ponytail
but I'm just talking, I can barely get out one version

I need to figure out (find a hair tutorial) how to bend without warping & messing up the entire mesh
it's coming together somewhat before I start touching it
not even worth going in game for this "update". everytime I touch this mesh I somehow make a worse version than the last
taking another forced break, cause I'm starting to get frustratingly embarrassed about not being able to do this🫡😔
which is my own fault cause I didn't bother to do the donut tutorial cause I don't want to. but I'm sure that doing that would've shown me everything I need to know to really understand blender
I'm mostly going off old cc hair tutorials on youtube & it helps me till it doesn't
I can't figure out the uv mapping & I don't know how to select a mesh to then bend it naturally without distorting it
those are my main hurdles right now
im optimistic about this redo version but ehh idk
& after seeing how the back looks I don't have to do as much as I was going to
this is going to look like ass in game, but the way I did this redo is way better than the previous versions

this is getting so funny & embarrassing cause this whole concept should be so easy to do. but I'm constantly wasting my time, staying up to 3am
like the vision is there, but I'm the wrong person trying to make it happen
& it looks great from far away

but I don't know what's happening with the braid on the right. the transparency issues in s4studio when it looks fine in blender
lowkey you have to self deprecate a little, then semi lock in
this version is still ass, but "figured out" what I did wrong with the previous versions
textures are fucked & the back looks bad, but I'm already starting the next version.
I don't know how many times I've redone, but this version is one that I'm somewhat happy with
looking at the latest version with a fresh set of eyes, again the inner workings it's...rough but I'm proud of what I have done so far(kinda)
