There's a saying "fake it till you make it."

So I'm used to imitating people around me in order to be like them, to fit their expectations.

But of course, the faking couldn't last long. When someone tries to see my inner self, and when I have to share the things I don't want to show others, I prefer to run away. 'Cause hiding is my way of self-protection.

With the crazy omicron situation in HK right now (while all other countries are lifting off their restriction we tightens it furthermore and still have a crazy high infection rate and death rate), I decided to focus on drawing things that I enjoy the most, aka girls and the galaxy and cats.

With too much depressing news going on, scrolling through cat videos helps keep my sanity and gives me the purest form of joy. (Thanks to the algorithm suggesting all the cute cat videos on Instagram reels

That’s my form of escape from the getting-worse-and-worse reality. Trying to catch a breather here*sigh*😮‍💨🥲👍🏻

Happy Lunar new year!! It’s the year of tiger this year but obviously I prefer cats more. In Cantonese, the word tiger (虎) has the same pronunciation as the word bitterness (苦). That’s why we would say 虎中作樂 which means creating happiness within the bitterness.

Surely it has been a bitter year and it brought lots of stress and anxiousness to me. Trying my best to remind myself that no matter how bitter the world becomes, I can still create and protect my happiness.
