Kiibo slowly opened eyes, feeling that someone turned on his power. He felt like something was already registered in his memory, but everything was… fuzzy. Not only his memories, but sight or other senses as well. All that was clear for him was that his name was K1-B0 and.. that was all.

It took him moment to sit straight and for him to realise that he wasn’t alone in room. Robot looked up at the other.

“Uh… Can I help you?”

Although capable of various tasks and well-knowledgeable of machines, Kirumi could never rebuild something so intricate as Kiibo for she lacked the expertise. Therefore when every other student was killed, yet Kiibo was graciously spared a gruesome death by being dismantled instead, she didn’t think twice before falling on her knees. The despair was an anchor, sinking her body to the ground as if she floated above water.

Weeks had gone by and fourteen graves were added to the ground, some solely for symbolism because not all were left with a body. She and Kiibo were the only two above the soil. Hesitance prohibited her actions. A single slip could be a fatal mistake; failing not only him but destroying her chances of speaking face-to-face with someone again.

Only after practicing on clocks, cameras and countless other machines found within the academy did she build enough courage to attempt him. She found schemes drawn by Iruma in Kokichi’s room about the robot, but nothing detailed enough that meant his whole construction. She was gracious they spent so much time together. The final product wasn’t perfect, but when he lit up, so did her hope.
