Richonne are magical, and Michonne is truly Rick’s ride or die, and he knows how lucky he is.

The way that the show has already improved this aspect has been so amazing. One of my big criticisms of the novel and the author is the way that she introduced a POC character and then did nothing except at times just described his body. Then still insisting just recently that said character would not experience any trauma. It felt like such a blind spot and it was always odd to me that she would introduce such an interesting and nuanced character and then do nothing with him. As a POC myself it feels so good to see someone talk about the fact that this character is half Asian in a world that is extremely white. On top of the fact that he's one of the best players in the world so I can only imagine the jealousy. I also appreciated that it's a nuanced take because of his Western name and the fact that he used that verbiage was *chef's kiss*. I don't know how Jacob was able to do this but I'm so grateful because I've already found so many instances in the show where I feel like some of the blind spots and things that I think are a miss in the novel have been supremely improved. It's been such a great experience to watch this and I'm so glad that I gave it a chance.
