Are you a separated dad❓ How does it feel when you are finally with your child❓ 👨🏻‍🎨Noli creator: It is the happiest moment. The week really begins there. The rest is routine.

As a kid, I was a bad loser. I used to get very angry, throw the cards, chips, or whatever I was playing with, and always ask for revenge. That led me to be very good at all the games, flipping cards, chips, marbles, etc. I always won, and at the same time, my classmates used to hate me for that. Now my daughter seems to have all my skills as if they were transferred to her and no one, including me, can beat her.

Totoro is maybe the movie my daughter watched the most when she was about five years old. And as an animator, I saw it again and again with her, because I love it; I have seen it since I was 15 years old, when someone generously recorded it for me on VHS so that I could get to know this beautiful movie and others from the Ghibli studio. And I think it goes without saying that when creating Noli, either consciously or unconsciously, I had Mei Kusakabe very present as a character.

If you are the father of a girl, you'll know that they love to dress you up, do hairstyles on you, put blush on you, and all kinds of girl games, and then they like to show you off. I recently saw a picture on Instagram uploaded by @edick_mf I identified a lot and asked for permission to be inspired by the photo, and this is how this nice illustration came out.

Certainly, my daughter has not broken anything so far, she has scratched things, soiled furniture, burned rugs, etc. but she has never left something useless that I can remember. To knock on wood hehe

This past year I started recycling, really saving everything that wasn't organic and I realized that I had no idea how to do it, that nobody had ever taught me how to, and so, I accumulated a lot of non-organic garbage. Now I'm separating different types of plastics and I am leaving them in their respective containers at @triciclosb (Chile) were they receive and recycle correctly. This looks like advertising and it is , but they aren't paying me  haha. I believe that we must raise awareness and take responsibility for everything we consume 

I once had my hair like Niso, Noli's father. It grows like a lion's mane hahaha, and my daughter's worst enemy is the hairbrush.

When I was a child there was no Stevia nor liquid sweetener, so I secretly took out saccharine pills, and on some rare occasions, they bought sugar cubes. while making this comic I remembered the video of a joke that a father makes to his daughter in which he eats his flan. I watched the video again and I didn't find it very funny, rather it makes me want to slap the dad. Of course, Noli would not be fooled. 

Noli and the mask. At the beginning of the quarantine I made this comic. At that moment I felt like I was living a nightmare. The news were very confusing: at first we were told that the virus came from a bat but then it was created in a lab, they said “use your masks” but they won’t work, they told us it didn’t affect children but it was better to keep the distance, that anti-inflammatory drugs may kill us, etc... Nothing is as we have been told. My only truth is that uncertainty has become normal and that I haven't seen my daughter for weeks.

Could it be because of the soap that ran down your eyes that made you not want to bathe as a child? Or the cold when getting out of the bath? Do you remember if you liked bathing time? I do not remember not liking it, I do remember that I loved to play with the boats in the bathtub until my skin wrinkled like an old man.

I love you more 💑 In reality, the conversation is usually much longer, something like: I love you to the moon ... and I love you to the sun, the stars and beyond ... and I all our universe and the galaxies... And so on until we run out of knowledge of what lies beyond. Have you had this kind of conversations about who is the one who loves the most?

How do the masks fit you? There is no mask to which I have not had to tie a knot to make it fit my daughter. And to do him justice, since Niso doesn't have a chin, it occurred to me that if he wore a mask it would creep up his face.
