With The amount of haunted locations he’s visited, intentionally or not, it has all but become a hobby.

There was something off with the way he was presenting himself to her today, but she couldn’t put her finger on it just yet. It was as if he was adding extra flare to each word he spoke  and to each action he made. Was he trying to hide something from her?  At least that was the impression she was getting from him right now….which could mean two things. 

Either he was being truthful and desired to share his emotions or…..he wanted something from her.

Sadly, she was leaning to the second option just slightly more. What exactly was he trying to achieve? Yet, she couldn’t find it in her to push him away, sheer curiosity was keeping her there, wanting to know what was making him to go to this distance.

“I suppose that does  carry some truth. But can all of us bare that burden and responsibility? Not all of us can  be so reckless as young and in love couples “ she joked a bit as small smirk did tug on corner of her lips

When did lean closer, she could smell his perfume even more, he truly was putting on a play. Unlike him, her own ice blue eyes remained locked on him, focused and observing his every little action. For a brief moment, she was  ready to lean in and taste his lips but that thought was was pushed out the moment he spoke once again. 

Supernatural? Was he really going in such direction? Something was…..not right, that much was painfully obvious. Deciding to play along, her gaze softened a bit as she let out a silent sigh, warm breath from her lips grazing his own. “I believe…there are many things that are yet unknown to most of us darling.  Question is though, are we willing to accept such sort of things? “ 

Briefly she sled her hand closer to his own, fingertips gently brushing against his own as she whispered her warning. “Thread carefully Rohan, some things …no matter how intriguing, can be dangerous for those who are not  prepared “

He does not object to her moving closer, or to her light touches; merely, he hums at her skeptical statement, and he stares right back at her, and her warm breath on his skin nearly makes him shudder in an inexplicable thrill. Both are observing each other very intently, and he knows that she’s smart enough to possibly be catching onto something.

“I’m trying to think of a way to continue the story, but nothing’s coming to me. I’ve never been good at incorporating believable romance into my work, so I have to try extra hard to make it interesting enough. Adding supernatural elements is a lazy way of doing it, I admit.”

His free hand is moved into his pocket, non-chalantly--and there, he rummages about, and grips onto his trusty fountain pen.

“Anyway... it’s very rude of me not to have commented on your appearance. That’s the standard procedure when you first meet someone for a date, right? I’m suprised you didn’t lecture me about that. You really seem to enjoy listening to me talk, even if I have nothing to say.”

A small, derisive smile forms on his lips--but it quickly diminishes.

“Let me fix that.” The ways he says that, and the expression he wears doesn’t suggest it’s going to be a genuine, heartfelt attempt. And it especially doesn’t help that he sighs right after he says it.

Still, the hand on the rail he moves to fold Lilith’s own, and he slowly turns his head to face her directly--and their noses bump, and only inches set their lips apart.

ㅤ ㅤ A half-mischievous, half-apologetic smile crossed her face at the immediate reprimand. Naming things was the first step to create an emotional connection, positive or negative, although Reimi was confident that the first thing would happen. It was no surprise she was unmasked so quickly, but no one could blame her for using all the resources available! The fact that it was working somehow just signaled that the risky step was worth it. The name Rohan suggested didn’t ring a bell, but his sarcastic tone was enough to make her eyes narrow in silent censure. Even so, it was pleasant to hear, to say. ❝ We will always have Paris, hm? ❞ The puppy was pressed against her face, leaving a tender kiss on the top of her head. First goal achieved, encouraging her to listen to the terms and conditions — her relieved expression fading as he went on. The last words had barely left his lips when she protested. ❝ No way, Rohan! That’s not even fair! ❞ Once again her embrace tightened, protective instincts on the alert, flagrant indignation making her shake her head negatively, vigorously.

ㅤ ㅤ A dog brought very sweet feelings, but not without a burden. Reimi admitted that it was more complicated than having a cat or a fish around, for example. However, the fun you could have with a four-legged friend was something that had no comparison. Walk in the park or on the beach, tossing a ball so they could bring it back to you, just lie down with them in silence and warm each other up! Things she loved to do with Arnold, that made every inconvenience and difficulty worthwhile. Not that he was a very agitated or troublesome dog in the first place — which certainly clouded her judgment a little bit. ❝ Leave all the work to someone else? How are you and Paris going to bond this way? ❞ Delegating all the responsibility to a third person almost made the idea of ​​finding someone else to adopt Paris more attractive… This was not what she wanted. ❝ It’s like having a child and letting a nanny raise them. Is that what you intend to do with your own children? ❞ A small part of her feared Rohan’s answer, because she could see him being just as insensitive.

Rohan? Not fair? Psh.

He doesn't say it out loud, but if the roll of his eyes could produce a sound, she'd be hearing it for a good few seconds. Reimi Sugimoto is the one being unfair with these inane statements and requests. Paris Hilton is, also, the one being unfair, seeking shelter where there's none to be offered. Rohan Kishibe is completely faultless in this situation, but defending himself against two puppy eyes is an expedition he doesn't wish to undertake. Not because he’d lose, or anything--he just doesn’t want to.

Her reference does crack a crooked smile through his hardened expression. He’s never seen the movie, but he knows enough about pop culture and popular quotes to know it’s from one of those old, cheesy romance movies. How predictable...

"Not the kind of Paris I had in mind, but--sure, why not? It works just as well." 

The moment is gone when she goes on with her lectures. Bonding, working, money, responsibility, blah-blah. He’s made it clear he’s not very interested in that, and he might’ve completely zoned out if it weren’t for her last words catching his attention.

"And what’s wrong with that?” he speaks over her before she even finishes her thought. “That's how I was raised, and I turned out excellent." He doesn't appear to be entirely joking, but he definitely acknowledges that it's not the healthiest way to grow up. An exasperated sigh, and he's now lightly tapping his foot against the ground. This is not the direction he wishes this conversation to take. 

"What's up with this line of questioning, anyway?" he grunts, and he is getting visibly crankier.
