the fact that my brain is so used to and demands such a high level of multisensory stimulation is one of the specific reasons i find it really hard to sit for very long and concentrate on simple, 1-dimensional information delivery, like for example reading a book. obviously also the worse my ocd thought patterns are (comparable to anxiety in others i would guess) the more this difficulty is exacerbated. SO, i’ve been finding putting these ambient nature videos on my tv super helpful both to kind of trick my brain into thinking it is getting lots of different types of information coming in while also allowing it to actually focus on the book, and also just to help me chill and keep my ocd symptoms down.

i figure this might help others and it actually took me a long time to find ones i really like, so i thought i’d make a post linking some of my faves:
