Workers have seen their pay degraded and conditions deteriorate following the outsourcing of Cleaners, Porters and Receptionists at the University of London (UOL).  After a long-running campaign and the creation of a new trade union initiative, all workers now receive the London Living Wage.  Yet the failure to grant Sick Pay, Holidays Pay & Pensions forces staff to work when ill or miss holidays for years.  With university management refusing to negotiate with the staff and the police violently suppressing any dissent, the workers feel they have no choice but to withdraw their labour and go on strike to win their demands. The strike will begin on the 27 November and all the proceeds from THIS EVENT will be given to the strike fund. This is an inspirational and determined action, but to ensure success workers need financial support for their families during this brave and determined action. VIVA 3 COSAS - SICK PAY! HOLIDAYS!
