Outsourced cleaners at the University of London have vowed to fight on despite being offered improved terms and conditions after a two-day strike.

Balfour Beatty have offered HOLIDAYS in line with directly employed staff, & nearly equivalent SICK PAY! We will continue to campaign for ALL our demands - but for now, celebrate. Morning all! A good, noisy, vibrant picket already today. Delivery vans and the window cleaners turned away from our picket lines. Expecting a really good show of student support today as well. Venceremos!

Over 100 people protested tonight outside Senate House, where Princess Anne was being wined and dined to mark the University of London's Foundation Day - in the middle of this historic 2 day strike. Rows of police in front of the gate, and 8 vans parked up outside the British Museum didn't intimidate us. "Princess Anne - off with her head!"
