Sorry, We’re Closed
With our regrets and appreciation, Noe So Cute is now closed.
With both our chalkboard lemonade stand and Little Free Library branch gone, we are no longer updating this site, but want it to remain up as an archive of our small contribution to Duboce Triangle and Castro District neighborhood history.
The lemonade stand began as a weekend activity with the kids, we didn't expect it to last more than a few days before it was vandalized, destroyed, or stolen.
Indeed the lemonade stand saw some damage, disappeared a few times, and needed some occasional touch-up paint, but the way it was embraced by the community and the regular thanks we received made the small hassles worth it. It was the thanks from our neighbors and those passing by – often stopping to take photos – that kept us at it after the kids lost interest.
It was the Little Free Library we added that proved problematic.
The donated books were occasionally all stolen, as was the first library itself. The second library fared a little better, but was set on fire, which we managed to repair, but later damaged beyond repair and we chose not to replace it.
Thank you all for your support and the good times,
S + W + W + J + V (the Noe So Cute management team)
