this summer has taught me so much. to appreciate the littlest things, appreciate boredom as it is just another sign of relaxation. to be bored allows you to look at your life and appreciate it for what it is. it is only when you are sitting on the toilet that the back of toothpaste boxes become as interesting as your favorite novel or show. this summer has also taught me to look at the world as something that is beautiful, the way sunlight hits the house, the way wind rustles the leaves playfully, the joy in my dogsā eyes as they enjoy company. i have also learned that you are the king, the master of your own life, if you choose to look at it, life is beautiful, life is joy. you and i and everyone else in the world are simply striving for the same thing, happiness. some may do it in a way that hurts others, they may view it that they must hurt others to gain their own happiness. hurt is based on the reasoning that we view each other as competition, instead of a similar entity trying to achieve the same end goal. we can all achieve happiness. life is unexpected, life is tragic, and yet it is still sweet. to be sad, to be angry, to be joyous is life, and to experience it all is great. life is perfectly described as bittersweet. it and everything in it are all things sweet
i know this is cheesy as all hell, but this is honestly what i have learnt this summer and this is my outlook on life for a long, long time.
