This isn't just "think about where the potatoes and coffee come from in your world". This is also about fantasy worlds set in Earth too. The way JK Rowling designed her world so that England has it's own school but has Latin America, Africa and Asia share one school each is heavily influenced by her english centric view of the world around her. Or how she never took two seconds to think about how magic works in different cultures, or how she never explains why the indigenous communities of America didn't fight back against colonizers using magic, or how she decided that european colonizers "civilized" African wizards by teaching them how to use wands. Her way of seeing the rest of the world and obvious rejection to educating herself about other countries influences her world building.

Aldrich Killian ambushed Tony Stark at a party rather than get a proper interview with him? Its Tony's fault he became a pathetic manchild supervillain with Maya Hansen's help

Ivan Vanko's father was deported for selling American secrets to the soviets and Howard reported it as he should? No, that's Tony Stark's fault.

A sentient, mind controlling alien sceptre kills JARVIS and hijacks the ultron name? Tony's fault only even though Thor and Steve gave permission for Tony to study it and Bruce helped

The accords exist because the Avengers had no oversight or clear leaders after SHIELDRA fell and were leaving more damage behind than saved people and Steve Rogers the paragon of light and virtue and righteousness disagrees and thinks "the safest hands are his own" and goes on a rampage across Europe to save his bestest bud bucky, injuring people, killing them, and causing damage to infrastructure all because zemo's plans hinged on Steve keeping the Starks murders a secret for 2 years? Tony's fault.

Tony lashes out at Steve for keeping his parents assassinations a secret because bucky was the one to kill them while brainwashed? Tony's fault. Tony wants bucky to hurt for it in that very moment of witnessing his parents brutal murders with the weapon right next to him? Irrational and it's of course Tony's fault.

Tony doesn't want to perhaps destroy the world by creating time travel and ruin the life he built in the 5 years since the snap? Selfish and irrational

If anyone could survive shrapnel literally embedding in their heart and being hooked up to car battery to live, it would be tony stark.

If anyone could build a impossible miniaturised arc reactor in a cave with a box scraps which most engineers could not even with the highest tech and facilities, it would be tony stark.

During the entire movie Tony has anxiety and panic attacks because of what happened in the Avengers movie. But yet at the end of the movie he talks about how the metal that was close to his heart finally got removed, and they acted like that was the cure to his anxiety. The metal shards had nothing to do with his anxiety and then they never even bring it up ever again! (at least not that I’ve noticed) and that just makes me really mad because it could’ve been such a big part of his character tbh but they just brushed past it like it was nothing, like that fight or any of the fights after it meant nothing to him. Idk it just confuses me I suppose because there was never an actual solution to it because, again, the metal wasn’t the cause of his anxiety, it was because of the fight was and the fact that he almost died. (Edit:) And the fact that he almost lost, which would’ve cost him everything, and made him feel like he needed to do more to keep everyone safe. If that time was so close who’s to say it won’t happen again yk?
