Embracing the utter grayscale was definitely better for this. I am quite a bit more satisfied with this product, compared to the previous page.

I haven't given up/forgotten about the animation(s) I wanted to do. Just haven't been sleeping well(tf2). Animating is by far the most strenuous and demanding thing I've attempted since OWM began possessing me. Something will come out eventually, I promise.

I have been feeling a little burnt out on the main fic, bored of the mediums and feeling stuck. I have vowed to do my best to finish it, however long it takes, though. I won't be giving up on it.

My unfamiliarity with digital art, let alone the software, has also been quite the obstacle for me. Feeling helpless in the face of the vastness of it all.

I do want to grow the series/lore "horizontally" so to speak. There's more characterization and worldbuilding I want to get to. More about how Mike and Will's history differs from both the og OWM and ST as a whole. Especially El and Arthur, I have lots of ideas for them.

There's so much I want to get to, I just need to chip away at it, and try to not get overwhelmed.

I've thrown myself headfirst into this sprawling work of fiction, and I don't want to come up for air until its done.

Animations, watercolor, title pages, ARG elements, side stories, the overwhelming fear and trepidation felt in the presence of KRITA, doodles for fun, short "in-lore" novellas, playlists, etc...

I really have succumbed to "feature creep" haven't I...

OWM (obviously) means a lot of different things to me. Most of them were probably never intended, but something about this funny haha parody of ST spoke to something deep and true.

And I have no doubts or regrets about spending this much time on it. And I wouldn't have gotten this far without any of you. Knowing there's people who like my stuff enough to reblog or redraw my stuff is beyond encouraging.

I know I'm in the right place. This is somewhere to be, something to be busy with.

CW: Blood and Impalement

It was a good idea to bust out the alcohol markers I hadn't taken out of the package for 4 years. But not a good idea to use them on this page for the first time.

Turned out okay, all things considered. My head hurts from the marker fumes.

I was unsure on how I could shade/color in El in the "higher/extreme motion" panels, without disturbing the negative space/motion lines, so I left them blank. The page suffers slightly for it but I couldn't bring myself to recklessly experiment with panels that I liked so much. Same with some of the other ones.

I wanna use these more, these will likely stay until this individual scene between the Test Tube (Crack) Babies is concluded.

I always imagined these scenes between El and Arthur to be in black & white. Maybe some red next time, idk.

Colors will def return later, this won't be permanent(as of now).

I'm working on the "Magenta Placenta" animation in the meantime, been fun so far, but quite grueling. Krita is hard but I'm determined. My desire for this to be actualized and realized is great, and unwavering.
