I've been messing around with his bangs and outfit recently, but also playing around with my materials in my sketchbook. So, lots of bad sketches.

Some low effort art posting, featuring Emrys and this creature I've dubbed "Eerrii" for the longest time.

She's a unique aspect of the story, and I've spent a long time considering how she works physically, and her level of importance to Emrys overall.

She's kind of an amalgamation of multiple animals and creatures. She's never one thing, or another. Always changing, always morphing into something new. Her body is made of solid light, and retains only a few features upon shifting.

She appears in unexpected places, at unexpected times. But never stays for long. She always seems to disappear in one way or another when needed the most...

Maybe there is a deeper meaning there...?

If you're reading this, there's no art attached to this post. I'm just yapping. Trying to find a level of comfort with how I post on Tumblr. I didn't explore this place nearly as much as I could've in its "fandom space prime", and it means I will likely make bad posts until I hit some kind of stride. ;v;

Anyways, I figure this is a good enough time to mention that; I've got more than 1 story I'm working on. I've been posting the most about Emrys and Evangelical Weapons, because its what I'm drawing the most. But I've actually got 3 other stories that take place in the same world.

Those stories are called "Escapism", "Enter Hollow Ground", and "Eternal Bloom", and because they are all in the same universe and loosely follow a chronological timeline, the overarching title for all of these stories is "No Sleep". You can look at each story like different campaigns in the same Dungeons and Dragons world, if that makes sense. Each story is interconnected in some way, but still made to stand alone [until they all meet at the end, that is...]

"Escapism" is a gorey, gay Alice in Wonderland retelling I've been working on since highschool. It originally started off as an AU I was using to write about me and my friends from school, but when I lost majority of those friendships, I made all of the characters into actual characters, seperated them from their OG counterparts, and have been working on it ever since. Alixe Kingsley quite literally falls into the unknown dimension of "Underlun" where he's accosted by all sorts of disgusting creatures, and tossed about like a broken ragdoll so many times until he discovers...he can't die...

Enter Hollow Ground is a story about one of my oldest OCs. Her name is "Dust Wicker", she was originally a RWBY OC! And she's jumped around from being put into my old friend Arty's project "Benevolence" [shout out to @how-do-u-art , by the way! Please go follow them, they are such a phenomenal artist and animator!!], but she has also been bounced around in her own stories as well. Her story currently takes place in the country of "Anastasia", where Dust works together with a rag-tag team of "adventurers" to help them all achieve their own goals, whilst also piecing her memories back together as she steadily loses her vision. This story is the most heavily under developed, and so far doesn't follow a chronological story talking format. Just know that Dust is ny baby girl, and I'd die for her. :]

And finally, Eternal Bloom. Eternal Bloom is a story that takes place in Thera's unknown lands of "Yveltte", following the royal family "The EverBlooms" as the 4 royal siblings come of age to engage in the "Ceremonal Hunt of the Crown". This event takes place once every 100 years in the Daemontt society, an event that leads to the universal choosing of the next ruler of their people. And there is absolutely nothing that could go wrong...Nothing. This story is equally under pretty harsh development, but this is also the story where everything starts to interconnect in a much, much more open way.

This is just a little sneak peak and insight into the stories. ;v; I have a lot more to say about them all as I work on them, but I wanted to get some general information out there about them all because I start just...going crazy posting shit no one understands! :D

Progress shots of a little diddy I put together in my sketchbook last night.

While it didn't come together exactly the way I thought it would, I still really loved the final piece.

I don't usually push myself to make this kind of crafty, layered artwork. Especially not in sketchbooks. Sometimes I get motivation that pushes me forward in a good way, though.

Emrys is the oc in the piece, of course.

New headcanon gathered from last night's doodle sessions:

Ziplocke and Ajax were born with platinum blonde hair. Likely, so was Emrys.

Seeing baby Ajax with bright blonde locks is so bizarre just insanely cute. ;v;

Back in the day, Emrys originated as a Pokémon Trainer OC. And, he started his story off as a Shiny Roselia. He became a "human" again later on. But he soon became his own OC, with his own original story. That story is "Evangelical Weapons".

This outfit ended up looking very much like "Classic Emrys". If you can call it that. It was supposed to have a plaid pattern, but that didn't end up coming together in the final.

I still like how it came together. :]

Alright, no need to mess around any more with the "quote" names.

These Boys are formally known as Ajax and Ziplocke.

When Emrys was raising these two, he referred to them for their childhoods as the "code names" that were given to them in the facility Emrys rescued them from. He told them,

"Once you both reach an appropriate age, or time, you'll find your own names."

He encouraged them to find and name themselves...

"And when you do...Come meet me again."

It was unexpected fate that these two would end up naming one another...

They don't seem bothered by it.

Emrys and the young "Coral".

Coral was a much more docile child. Quiet, sheltered. Compared to Indigo, he would sit on the porch step unlacing and re-lacing his boots meticulously. Always sitting in an invisible pool of nerves unending.

While Emrys, too, preferred to be silent, he knew it would be better for the long term if he guided Coral through conversions. Emrys let him speak at his own time, on his own terms.

Coral's confidence grew much slower than Indigo's had. Emrys kept close note of that...

He was certainly more of a trouble child. Often running off into the woods beyond the cabins view. He would always return covered in dirt and leaves, chewing on something he likely shouldn't have.

Emrys kept him close by the older he got, and the more rambunctious he became. Hard to contain a bolt of lightning for long, though.

"I raised you..."

"I lied to you..."

"..."

Haave I mentioned yet that he's a father? :]] I haven't?

Oh. Yeah. That's probably because he raised these two with the belief they were his clones and not his...

you know.

Sons. :]

No one knows.

No one needs to know...

Oh. Those babies are "Coral" and "Indigo". Better known sooner or later as "Ziplocke" and "Ajax".

More excuses to draw Emrys.

The apple is not significant to his story. Like...

Tiny Man Argues with Rabbit, Who will Win? Who will Lose?

This is an older piece of art, but continues to remain a favourite. It's a style I want to go back to desperately.

These characters are Alixe [Short, pale skinned, brunette] and Thackery [Tall, Jackalope, Dark skinned]. They're the lead character in one of my stories 'Escapism'. :] It's inspired by 'Alice in Wonderland'.
