I spent some time in France too, actually. One of my brothers is living in Paris so I spent a couple weeks there but he was busy with work for most of the time I was there, so I spent a lot of time at photography galleries.

Oh, that sounds great! You went to Montmartre, right? Some of the best galleries are there... It's obvious you'd go here. Used the time on your hands to work on your french, I guess? Damn, you should have told me you were here, we stayed in Paris for two days, but we could've met up somewhere if it was while you were here.

Well, that’s good to hear. How was your summer, by the way?

Oh, lovely, really. Spent two weeks in the South of France before heading back to Denmark. It was... Nice overall. How about you? Got the change to snap a lot of pictures?

Excuse ME. It is exactly because they don’t have power that it is worse. The whole concept of rolling in riches just because you happened to be born in a certain family is sick. I mean suppose you were some kind of a prince, what would be claim to fame? That you were BORN? Really?

I think I'd just... If this were me I wouldn't really get why either. But it'd be my duty to my country. It's not all about being rich. It's about being an exemple, someone to keep the history alive. A face for the country, who wouldn't change constantly as the politicians would. But I'd... I'd just want to be normal. I think the title would be more of a pain than anything.

Nothing really, schoolwork mostly. Junior year’s rough already, I can’t imagine being a senior. You must be out of your mind with stress.

Oh, well, not that much to be honest. I'm pretty organized, and I knew this was coming, so school work is the farthest from my biggest problem right now.

Well, thanks. I hope so, I take enough candids so maybe the next batch I develop will be better. We’ll see.

I'm sure they will. But well, other than taking pictures, what have you been up to these last few days?

I guess the usual “bored yet on edge, choking under the flow of work and overall looking forward to the next meeting like salvation" kinda feeling.

Oh, come on, we don't have that much work. Not more than last year.

Be-CAUSE it’s wrong on SO many levels. I…I can’t even begin to..have you…are you…do you support the existence of royalty?

Yes, I do. In fact, it depends of which country we're talking about, but in some parts of Europe, royalty is part of the history, and even though most countries don't have a royalty anymore, the royal families in the ones who do are respected and wanted. It's not as if they had much power anyways, it's more of a thing for the image of the country nowadays.

I want to hate you, but I can’t. Is this a problem people suffer around you often?

I don't know. Maybe you should ask them?

Just finished writing the History essay. I stand by my sentiments. Royalty should be fucking abolished.

Why exactly? In some countries, it all works well you know? 

Just a few candids. They probably would have come out as crap anyway.

Oh, don't say that! Your pictures are usually amazing, I don't see why these wouldn't have been. But well, you'll make others, and no one will ruin these, I'm sure of it.

Speaking of French books, you wouldn’t happen to have a copy of Flaubert’s L’Education sentimentale, would you?

I do have that, yes. If you want to borrow it, it's on my desk.

Yeah, you’re right. I shouldn’t be complaining. Disappearing books? That doesn’t sound good. You should be on the look out for those. And I’ve been great, actually. Happy to be back, despite all the work. Still getting settled, but it’s a process.

Yes, yes, I am. As some of these are first editions, I'd really like to get them back. That's great anyways. I think most of us are happy to be back. Or maybe I'm just hoping too much. But the meetings are going to start again and well, it will be fun. If none of us die while being on drugs, that is.
