“Join my menagerie!” The Witch proposed. “I am not to be collected.” Replied The First Unicorn.

The Witch was a powerful sorceress, and dazzled The little Unicorn with beautiful things. Bursts of color, conjuring, making shadows dance. “I wanna be just like you!” Delighted The little Unicorn. The First Unicorn was not so easily impressed.

The little Unicorn had heard tales of The Witch, for she made beautiful things, and beckoned The First Unicorn on her journey to meet her. “I hate The Witch.” Said The First Unicorn. The First Unicorn hadn’t left her sanctuary for centuries. Still, she followed.

But doubts from the Whispering Woods still filled the foal’s heart. “Do you think I will make beautiful things?” She asked, and The First Unicorn replied, “I believe in you.”
