A book with the ghost of a little sister is following around her brother who is getting vengeance “for her” but she’s yelling at him the whole time cause she was literally a baby angel and wouldn’t want that shit.

A book where a bunch of old librarians get together and discover magic is real and life continues on except for that one guy who goes evil and is consumed by magic and the Librarian who just got fired has to stop him.

A book where the main character is in college and is an unpaid intern for a PI and you r confused the whole time cause it seems like you missed the whole first book but u actually didn’t and its all explained in the epilogue.

A book where stuff happens in a bar.

A book where every thousand or so years a girl is resurrected and has save the world cause it was supposed to be destroyed in the time of the Ancient Greeks and she saved it then by sacrificing her life and now she has to save the world every so often by sacrificing her life and she is just done.

A book with a love triangle and the entire time that the guy who sucks is gonna be endgame but then he dies and it comes out that main character never liked him at all.

But I do believe that if you were to strip a person down to their heart

You would find

One color

One song

One place

One story

One emotion

That is that person’s essence

That person may not know these things that shaped them

That are them

But none the less these things make up people’s essence 

I believe that you will never find the same thing in two people

They may have similar elements 

And these similar elements may cause these people to be drawn together

Or thrown apart

They may cause love

Hatred 

Nostalgia 

But no one has the exact same

I do not know what makes up my essence

Maybe you do

Maybe it’s obvious 

Maybe that's all people who are easy to read are

They have an open essence

I think peoples essence may shift or be added to as they age and experience 

Perhaps that’s why we are not conscious till a certain point

We have not developed enough essence to make sense

Even to ourselves

Or perhaps essence is what causes us to be confusing

Essence as I see it is a paradox

But in the end so are we

An essence is

The things that make us who we are

Who we love

Deep down people are very simple

Or very complicated 

I do not know

But I believe every person has at least one beautiful thing at the root of themselves

I believe every person has one ugly thing

One smart thing

One foolish thing

One perfect thing

One incredibly flawed thing

One whole unbreakable thing

One fragile thing

The fragile thing is perhaps already broken

Perhaps it’s shards have scattered and formed more of your essence

Perhaps they have sliced and maimed other pieces of you

But if I broke you down and looked at your essence

If you had a pretty color

An ugly color

A happy song 

A sad song

A nice beautiful place full of joy

Or a desolate land of tattered edges

A happy story in which life is easy and everything ends happily

Or a story in which the characters go through hell to get to tragedy 

If your emotion is content

Or devastation 

If your fragile thing was intact and safe

Or shattered and slicing at your heart

If I looked at your essence

No matter what was shown

I would love it

And I don’t know what that says about me

But if you show someone your essence and they ask you to change it 

To be more the way they like

Then they do not have a good enough essence for you

Maybe this is what souls are

Or maybe you see the world in a different way

See souls as something else

I do not know

All I know is that
