dont mind me, i just need to grumble somewhere about clan searching-

I find it incredibly frustrating when a clan advertises itself one way, and then you actually join the discord group and they're. Not. At All. like they claim to be.

"active!" - out of almost 100 members, only 3-5 of you are actually doing anything. there's no engagement among players or new clan members? no incentive to actually engage? how is that active??

"truly connect!" - when your response to questions is 'it's too long to explain, wiki or google it and watch youtube videos about it', that's like- the opposite of connecting. I'm here to engage with people about this stuff, not be redirected away from interaction. Hello?? And I have already exhausted those options before trying to join a clan anyway; they don't help me.

among other issues of course, but these are the kinds of things you notice immediately. I'm very tired already.

Like, I would love to join a clan or at least have some people to play with. I want folks that I can engage with about both mechanics and lore; yknow, bounce things back and forth to make sure I'm Getting It. et cetera

it's only the first attempt, but it feels really awkward trying to leave now, ugh. I think if i follow up with any others, i won't actually join the in-game clan until I actually find some folk to mesh with.

Fun fact: it took me 3 hours to decide between operator and drifter.

Half of that was just rambling about the confusion. Then I actually sat down and tried to piece things together as I understand it all.

For mine at least, drifter was the choice that made the most sense.
