nisa only slightly hesitated in sending the second picture, one she had spent a good thirty minutes getting the right pose for. was this a bad thing to do? probably. it didn’t seem like that was going to stop her as she sent it. she’s in front of her mirror, one hand pulling down his shirt a little over her legs that were clad in thigh highs and nothing else. it smelled of him and since she had found it, decided she was going to give it back. except she hadn’t. even slept in it a few times, not that she would fully admit to that.
the first message, @msuwill you left your shirt here the last time i painted on you.
a follow up, looks kind of good on me, no?

msucallie:
procrastination
@nisamsu
“nisa! are you busy? please tell me you’re free—” her words came out quick, desperate even. no matter how hard she tried to hide her stress, it was apparent that the junior was in over her head. and with final exams being just around the corner, everyone was prepping for non-stop study sessions to go over the semester’s curriculum and start any end-of-the year projects that were left behind until the last minute. “i swear if i write one more word about the inferi for this term paper, i’m going to explode.” maybe that was a tad dramatic, even for callie. “do you want to go catch a movie with me to save me from insanity? i think they already started playing holiday specials at orbit theatre. so yay? christmas!”
she heard the distress before she saw her. “you know i’m never busy for you,” nisa lilted, eyes widening in interest. sketchbook falling shut and legs sliding off the side of the couch, stuffing the pages full of art into her trusty bag. today had been a self proclaimed ‘nisa day’ which meant no studying, no school, all self care. there had been a hour or so long bubble bath, music, macarons, a healthy dose of trashy reality tv shows. the exams would not be getting to her this year. “you should adopt my routine, which involves relaxation and a dash of fun. our brains were not made to turn to mush over necromancy and essays anyway.” if callie wanted a distraction, she could happily provide it. almost tumbling forward as she popped up from her seat and took callie’s arm in her own. spinning them around like she had meant to trip. nice save, nis.
“christmas? you wouldn’t happen to mean the most important holiday to ever holiday would you?” she ends her tease with a grin, starting them off on their way. “off to the movies we go! oh, i could eat an entire crate full of popcorn and sour patch right now. do you gravitate to any certain holiday movie? anything you are hoping to receive this year?” christmas shopping had started early this year, as it did every year. gifts. nisa could drown people in gifts. “i promise i won’t release a word of it to anyone else, unless you are wanting me to throw a hint or two.”
msuwill:
unlike his brother, will had always ( for the most part ) loved halloween. mostly because he doesn’t get to have so much candy any other day of the year, but also because of his interest in ghosts and other supernatural legends and creatures. his favorite movies were old cheesy horror movies and dressing up just seemed fun. he hadn’t had a reason to do it in years, so this was especially exciting for him. it took him back to his younger years— the good parts— and it was more than a welcome experience.
even though he was doing his best to stay focused on the moment and enjoying himself, there was a bit of guilt that followed him around as he thinks about who he blew off just so he could have this freedom tonight. he doesn’t mean to be an asshole, sometimes it’s just sort of in his nature. as a person that rarely has the opportunity to have his own self-interest in mind, he felt deserving of spending this halloween doing whatever he felt like, though it was sort of shitty that hanging out with his girlfriend wasn’t in the cards… he was a dick. he was absolutely the worst, no doubt about it, but that’s something he would repent for some other day.
he’d agreed to hang out with nisa for a while tonight when they’d been spending time on her birthday, and he didn’t exactly want to rearrange those plans. the more that he finds himself hanging out with her, the more he wants to. they have common interests and make each other laugh and he just feels comfortable and relaxed when he’s with her. there’s no judgement, and they have fun together… that’s not something that he can get from many other people, so who can genuinely blame him for wanting to take advantage of that?
maybe he was just trying to justify being absolute scum, but again, tonight wasn’t the night for him to worry about it. the entire point was so that he would enjoy himself, not so that he’d have anything poisoned by his own thoughts or feelings. the only thing he wanted to be feeling was himself getting scared shitless, because that’s what this night is for, right? fear? and fun? he was going to have a good time, goddamn it.
he isn’t sure why he walked inside of the haunted house as he awaited his company. perhaps he wanted to try scaring her… or… something. there was no true explanation, it’s as though his feet had a mind of their own as he ventured inside, aimlessly wandering as he did his best to make out anything he could in the dark. it was so impossible for him to see that he held up his hand in front of his face and couldn’t even make it out… he’s so focused on how he can’t see anything that he’s taken off guard when someone bumps into him, and just as he’s about to say something, he feels their hands in his hair and trailing down to his shoulders. he’s so confused by it that he doesn’t even know how to respond, but he’s kinda into it. “well… hello there.” quiet laughter spills from his lips and he reaches out himself, trying to get a feel of whoever is holding onto him. “who’re you?”
there were many selfish things nisa had done in her life and she’s fairly sure this is one of the most. it was so deeply selfish that there was a part of her wondering just how far she would go. if she would even be able to go through with what she wished to. all the theatrics and whimsy of the holiday was so far in her peripheral, she just couldn’t stop thinking about him. couldn’t get will off her mind, it had only gotten so much worse since her birthday. maybe it was the clarity of being away and in the woods gave her or being absolutely frightened back to sense by their ghost adventure. all she knew was that she remembered not yet being asleep and finding herself gazing at him and the freckles that spread across his nose, nisa saelim having an actual crush? crush didn’t feel like the right word. not at all. it was too simple, didn’t mean enough.
perhaps it’s all she could live with for now, something to brush off how good it felt being around him. how easy it was to just be. how he was something she found herself looking forward to everyday, to what mischievous shenanigans they would get up to that would have her falling into stiches of laughter. what art piece she would get inspired to paint on his skin. it wasn’t like she was pushing him away. she didn’t want to. which meant she wouldn’t.
the darkness was still so hard to see through, fog not helping any matters. or, she supposed it was helping her. can’t get caught. can’t get caught! her pulse was as wild as her thoughts in the moment. feeling that familiar feeling of holding her breath, the anticipation was like sitting in the eye of a storm. knowing one way or another..it would crash into you. his words and laughter however, had her grinning in the dark, dammit. he was going to inadvertently blow her cover and this was it. time to do or die. hello to you too. she almost said, especially once she felt him find her form in the dark as well. one of her hands helping his find her ass ( so she..indulged herself a little ) before she grabs him softly by his neck. the other slowly moving up his arm, soon caressing his cheek running her thumb across his bottom lip as if to shush him. it felt so right to be against him, horribly horribly right. hauntingly so. she knew she was attaching herself to him in ways that he didn’t know about. torturing herself by falling for someone who wasn’t really hers to have.
yet here she was, time slowing so much that she wonders if it paused entirely. the universe holding its breath with her. would she give in? let herself take what she wants? before she had time to think about it anymore she was pulling him to her. pressing her lips against his in a tender, heated gasp. no turning back. just the feel and taste of his lips against hers. call her dramatic, but she could swear the earth shifted underneath her feet.
msumimi:
running circles.
@nisamsu
she won’t admit it. she absolutely will not admit that she’s lost. but at some point, she is going to have to tell the five people she has passed three times in the past ten minutes that she’s not just going in circles for the fun of it, explain to them why every time they see her, she’s got more of a furrow to her brows and a pout to her lips. she won’t admit it because that’s admitting it’s her own fault — words that leave a bitter taste in her mouth.
it’s no secret to her that she fucks up a lot. she’d be more worried if it was, if she believed all this bad luck was just that; just coincidence. however, that doesn’t mean it’s easy to stomach. it’s moment’s like this that she’s left to think of the words her parents send her in howlers, treat her to in person when she visits. she’s a failure, a disappointment, a nuisance; she makes everything complicated, doesn’t think about the consequences. where’s the fun in that? isn’t the challenge of overcoming whatever comes your way what makes life interesting? it doesn’t pay to be too safe.
but perhaps this time she should have been at least a little cautious, because halloween is only twenty-four hours and she doesn’t want to spend all of them trapped inside this maze passing the same faces over and over and over again until a new sight graces her narrowed eyes.
“nisa!” it comes out before she can stop herself, so she approaches with a warmer smile than she’d greeted that freshman with the budget hulk costume with the past four times she’d seen him. “how are you? want company? I’m totally not lost but— b-but everything’s more fun with a friend, right?”
to the surprise of no one, the self proclaimed princess was using all these mirrors to her phones advantage. nisa was dressed as daphne after all and if she could say so herself, she looked hot. pose, click. another pose, another click. she wasn’t sure for how long she’d been there, taking selfies and ogling herself. all she did know was that the camera roll was filling up quick. a particularly chosen one, where her costume rode low on her chest and her body was draped against the mirror like a muse in a painting. this one was certainly going on zim.
she was admittedly killing time, maybe hiding from some of the excitement outside. one of those moments when you see someone or something that makes you yearn for a forgotten memory. the thought had been bugging her for hours now that she couldn’t pin point what it was. the mirror maze seemed like a good hide out at the time. walked until she decided not to anymore. whether she got lost in here or not, she had left up to fate.
the scent of halloween costumes and caramel apples still somehow wafted near her nose and the reflection from all the mirrors, lights and fog made her head start to ache. she should have been paying better attention, but it didn’t seem important then. no one had walked by in awhile either. sticking her phone back in her clutch as her feet headed back through the maze, no doubt going in the wrong direction. could she kick her way out of this if it came to that? shatter them with magic? that might be an overreaction. then she heard movement and her name, popping her head out from behind the mirrors in front of her to spot mimi.
a big beaming grin lit up her face as the other approached, fingers playing with the strap of her bag. “if i had known i would have called or beeped you,” she giggled at her own joke, mimi seriously did look amazing. “i’m starting to get a little sick in here if i’m being honest.. sort of lost track of time. and you? a little surprised it’s been so quite tonight.” she actually did feel better now that the other was there, “ i always want company. especially when it comes in such a pretty package.” flirt lilted her tone, but when didn’t it? “you have a good point, dying together is way more fun than dying alone. and that is good! cause i am lost and would love to get out of this forsaken place now. which way do we go?”

msuwill:
☆ ┊ in the moonlight.
— birthday starter for @nisamsu !
growing up, birthdays had never been a big deal in the park household. the last birthday party will remembers having was when he was around ten, and ever since then, they’ve all kind of sucked. sometimes he’d get a gift from cam, though it was usually something super inexpensive or some “treasure” that he found somewhere. they meant the world to will and he held on to every single one, but it wasn’t enough to make him look forward to his birthday. for the most part, it was just another day. him surviving another year wasn’t special… it got to a point where celebrating seemed entirely unnecessary. birthdays just weren’t all that important. or so, not for his small family at least.
for almost everyone else he met, it wasn’t like that. birthdays, for them, were exciting and fun and it was a day for them to be appreciated, loved, and showered in attention. must be nice… he didn’t want to seem like he didn’t care. nisa meant enough to him by this point that he wanted to prove it to her. he didn’t want to be the only one of her friends that didn’t give her anything. though, it was extremely obvious that he couldn’t afford to buy her any fancy gifts, so he was going to have to give her the disgustingly cliche and probably totally not awesome gift of… himself. his time and a memory was the best he could offer.
even after accepting that, he reached a new problem: he has no idea what to suggest. what do normal people like to do? wait— better question… what do magical people like to do? obviously he was one, but barely, so he had no freakin’ idea. the best he could do is come up with something that would be fun for himself and hope for the best, but that hardly seemed fair. what if she wasn’t as much like him as he initially figured? however, he had no other options.
they’re both always up for adventures, and with their interest in the supernatural, he thought it’d be fun for then to try spending the night in the forest… camping… ghost hunting? it’s something he hasn’t done in a while ( the camping, that is ), at least leisurely, and it felt exciting. nisa seemed like the kind of person to enjoy this kind of thing, so he went out on a limb and asked. lucky for him, she didn’t turn him down by telling him it was the most unfun thing she’d ever heard of, so that felt like a win. that’s how he ended up standing by the edge of the woods, awkwardly staring down at the ground as he awaited the arrival of the birthday girl.
if nisa could be honest with herself, she didn’t know which surprised her more. the fact that will had decided to do something for her on her birthday or the choice of activity. both made her grin warm more than she’d care to admit. she just..wasn’t expecting it. not that she was expecting something in the first place — she didn’t enjoy putting those things on other people. truly though, she was elated about all of it. besides, this year seemed like a good one to try something different than her normal and he had given it to her without her having to ask.
birthdays, along with every other holiday her family could possibly celebrate, they did. they celebrate hard. extravagant. one might even say, extra. what could she do? it ran in the saelim blood. everything was a big deal, but her father’s princess was the biggest. she was used to large and magnificent parties, most of the time not at all as glamorous as they seem. some times boring if the right people aren’t there and filled with others she didn’t know ( no doubt some of his business connections ), and kids she didn’t always get along with. the only constants were her friends and actual close inner circle of family. it had gotten worse after her mother’s passing. as if it was filled more. on purpose, to distract. like nisa wouldn’t notice the brightest guest of all was missing.
she knew her father had done it with the best intentions when she was younger, she supposed he hadn’t gotten the guide on losing his love and mother to his child. nobody really did. those stopped happening once she really started going to school. birthday parties then turned to her getting drunk off her ass and not knowing how she got back into a bed the next morning. this time though, the sound of spending all night in a tent in the woods, spooky ghosts and camp fires galore seemed more thrilling. more satisfying to her. the gift of an experience, a unique one. with someone she had been having tons of fun with in general. a night she fully wanted to remember.
she had lit up when he had mentioned it, excitedly agreeing without hesitation. like hell she’d say no to that. she had been itching to do some ghoul hunting and being wrapped in something nostalgic? all the better. it didn’t hurt how cute she had found him when he asked either.
in her defense, she had set her alarm a little late on accident. shoving on her boots, equipped with her wand, as she stumbled out of the dorms. hastily throwing her bag across her shoulder on her way towards the woods. all of it was very chaotic, but she didn’t want to be too late. her eyes catching his figure as she came over a hill, instantly apparating. appearing at his side with a playful grin, ignoring that slight turn of her stomach at the magic. “miss me? actually don’t answer that. cause i know the answer is an astounding yes. and i’m sorry for being just a tiny bit late.” making a little space of air between her thumb and pointer finger to emphasize the tiny bit part before using her elbow to give him a small nudge in the side. “so fellow camper, where are we off to first for our night of fun? campsite?” she bounced almost impatiently, ready to do it all. this was something she’d been thoroughly looking forward to. “i’ll follow your lead. for now that is. i’m sort of a natural born leader, you know.” could she help the teasing banter? no. no she could not.
what's one thing you love the most about drama club? :o
“i love how much all of us love theater! we come together and just muse, plus shakespear wednesdays are and always will be legendary, last time even might have crossed a line as i don’t remember most of it. know i had tons of fun though i always do with our crew.”
location — haunted house ( for now ) with — @msuwill
heeled purple boots paced back and forth in one of the empty hallways. nails softly tapping against the glass bottle containing her trick or treat surprise. felix felicis. a potion not unfamiliar, just one she hadn’t needed much in life. bottom lip tucked between her teeth in concentration as she studied it. trying so hard to figure out why she felt nervous, was her own brain hiding things from her now? it’s possible. perhaps it knew something nisa didn’t. she wondered momentarily what she was about to get herself into. the hwaseong stopped her cycled pacing. popping open the lid and swirling around the liquid within, watching as it glimmered. that was when she decided to swallow it, not doubting anymore. just doing.
a blink. then she could feel the buzz of magic flooding her system. reassurance and knowing. making her let go of anything holding her back. she tucked the potion bottle nimbly into her bag and flicked her daphne red ‘for the night’ hair over her shoulder. it was only a few seconds later that she took off, so sure of where she wished to go. where to find him.
it was starting to become clear to her that she wouldn’t be able to bed this curiosity. one that had been nagging at the back of her mind. making her feel things she shouldn’t, but she was used to getting into trouble. she had luck on her side tonight. plus, her extra boost of birthday ego still resided. nisa needed to know, had to know. the whimsy and sound of hallows eve so loud and joyous around her. splashes of water from the apple bobbing, the smell of cinnamon and pumpkins in the air. laughter and loud ‘BOOS!’. some butterbeer called her name, but she couldn’t get distracted. not as her destination came into view.
something in her paused as she got to the back entrance of the haunted house. telling herself it was just going to be this once. halloween was the perfect cover as she entered, the darkness shrouding her. following the gut feeling of where will was in this place. hoping to merlin and back none of the haunters in here made her yelp. luckily, she didnt. with a turn she bumped into a solid figure and jumped, careful to cover her mouth from making any noise or apologizing. eyes only sort of adjusting to the darkness.
the whisper of nerves coming back as she slowly reached out to see where it was he stood, feeling the darkness like a mime until aha! found you hair and then shoulders. ones that felt all broad and strong, hm definitely will — stop that, don’t be stupid. she cursed herself. she had a mission! one that had a time limit, risks, so many risks. the main one being the fact that she couldn’t let him see her. waiting, so hard that she almost couldn’t breath. would he push her away? pull her closer? yell? there was at least a 50 / 50 chance of yelling. she couldn’t utter one word and it was too late to care if it was a bad idea. she was committed to it now.

nisa loved horror movies. ever since she found out about the existence of them she’d been hooked. little kid nisa staring mesmerized at the screen as all the suspense and thrills ensued. her and her friends all huddled and scared, the smell of cookies wafting into her room. oh, the nostalgia it brought her. currently she was carrying a thick stack of blankets and a whole bag full of candy, snacks, and drinks. she was always prepared. in fact, if you looked anywhere she resided long enough you’d probably find secret stashes all over the place.
“watch out!” she yelled as she threw out all the blankets ( apollo the cat, hopping off before she did ) and drew out her wand, all the fabric twisted and turned before flowing down. a cozy nook was formed. practically diving in with reckless abandon, the snacks landing in her lap. she gestured to the open seat beside her. “we are completely set for this movie!” unlatching the bag, it spilled over with how full it was. “orange or grape?” she turned to her companion, “or would you prefer pumpkin juice?” her hands were busy un packing things so they were easily grabbable. chips, sour candy, coconut ice, fizzing whizzbees, chocolate frogs, cauldron cakes. they had it all. the atmosphere of excitement and festivities so hard to ignore, not that she wanted to. she lived for this sort of thing.
apollo curling up beside nisa. it didn’t feel right celebrating without him. “do lawyers normally watch horror movies?” her tone was teasing, a grin upon her face.

what are three things that you want the most right now?
“right this moment?” she asked, amused. tapping her chin dramatically as she thought about it. “a snuggle, some macarons, and something fun to do.” her night had been dreadfully boring.
what's the most useless piece of knowledge you know?
“a blob of toothpaste is called a nurdle. you are so welcome.”
do you believe in luck? or.. fate?
“while i am all for going for what one wants or making things happen for yourself, i do believe in fate. deeply so. we are magical beings, living in a world that none of us really understand. yet, somehow we all come together. find each other. all the time. and so much goes in to making a moment happen! i mean if someone's parents don’t meet at that exact time, the person who comes out of that might not be who they were. how could that not be fate? we have seers and divination. while i can’t do them others predict things, know things. some things are meant to happen. same thing with luck, i’m pretty ‘stitious. to me, those things are a type of magic in themselves.”
