Kevin didn’t ever go into haunted houses for fun. Honestly, the fact that there were people who found them genuinely enjoyable was scary in itself. But he couldn’t be lame and say no when approached by Yeonhee to accompany her. He was strong and dependable— now was the perfect time to prove that! 

“Don’t worry, Yeonhee! As long as you’re with me, nothing scary is gonna happen. And if you start to feel afraid, you can hold my hand, I don’t mind.” A wide grin spread across his lips as he spoke. “I’m not afraid of anything.” His words weren’t entirely true, but that didn’t mean it was a lie either. It’s just that nothing came to mind anytime he tried to think about things that scared him. 

“Just stick behind me.”

it wasn’t like daisy was frustrated just a little annoyed, as she stared down at the small pumpkin she had picked from the patch, she had picked one that was more circular than the others in hopes she could make cardcaptor sakura’s favorite sidekick kero, yet, it wasn’t going the way she wanted.

after checking out some of the bigger events and checking out most of the food booths, taejun is finally considering taking a break. he’s contemplating a stop by the zoo since the crowd will probably be spread out there. just a calmer atmosphere in general compared to the cheerful shouts and yells from those on rides and winning competitions. 

taking the last bite of the skewered ddeokbokki in his hand, taejun takes the long way around a crowd of freshman speeding towards the rollercoaster to toss his trash away in the garbage bin. he’s thoroughly enjoying the last bite when he suddenly hears a name being shouted loudly.

“yeonhee!!”

immediately, taejun whips around to scan the entire field of students, trying to pinpoint where the shout came from and where the called girl might be. his eyes dart from everywhere from the butter beer competition is set… to the tea party… and to the quaffle dunk. when he doesn’t spot the girl, he rethinks having heard her name.

his senses are alert because where yeonhee goes, so does her furry of energy. if anything really, taejun’s on the look out to make sure she’s okay and that the carnival is still in tact. 

he chuckles at the thought of yeonhee causing a domino effect at the carnival, wondering how that would be handled. and then a second thought makes its way into his mind and bursts into a loud laughter. with yeonhee’s energetic nature and taejun’s clumsiness, he was sure they would be able to create enough chaos for the professors to be weary for the first half of the semester at least. be that taejun’s tripping knock something loose or yeonhee accidentally scaring the animals off, there was always something to look forward to.

figuring she was probably having fun with her other friends, taejun willed himself to calm down. if she didn’t see him then  he might be able to save himself from another accident. or so he thought…

as soon as taejun turned around, he tripped over his shoe, stumbling forwards. a few students called out to him, asking if he was okay and he replied with nods and a smile. it was nothing he wasn’t used to. and then he spotted her… and knew she had spotted him too.

“I don’t think I like this very much...” Malia thought out loud, wincing as she watched another participant swallow down an unpleasant Bertie Bott’s flavor. She’d seen the activity on the school’s event pamphlet, but never actually intended to attend it. As a child, her experience with the magical world’s snack had never been a good one. However, the large crowd size had gotten the best of her, thus turning Malia into a spectator.
