Post industrialism wars have caused even more damage to the purity of humans due to various gas used in the wars and consequences of using explosives and chemicals effecting them which further increased pollution and damaged them.

After the first world war starting with usage of asbestos then lead and during the cold war effects of microplastics decreased availability of humans as food source for vampires.

These days it's not certain if they adapted to change and lives or faced the extinction.
