Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.

It scares me; I won’t be able to cope with it. Too much for me.

One of the greatest tragedies in life is to lose your own sense of self and accept the version of you that is expected by everyone else.

Few simple rules: respect your elders, take care of your body, finish what you start, and solve your own problems.

And like the sea, I’m constantly changing from calm to hell.

So you’re scared? Be scared. Embrace it. Get your shit done anyway.

The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.

May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art – write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.
