Your color palettes are always so tasty!!! How do you pick them???

thank you so much!! ! 💐 my process usually goes something like this:

think about what feeling i want to convey and what the main colors are (for example, something warm could have red and a creamy orange as the focus)

work the other colors around that, if there are any dull greys it's not a crime to make them look warmer, or for some blues to appear more teal

mess around with the opacity and layer modes (like Multiply, Overlay, Screen, etc.), even if those alone don't give me the desired result they can still help, i just adjust the colors myself until it looks appealing

TL;DR i mostly just do a whole bunch of eyeballing, experimenting and go with whatever i personally think looks nice!

also, inspiration goes a long way, sometimes i get ideas for color combos from others' artworks and photography!! a lot of my Lackadaisy pictures take inspo from art of the time :3
