in the farmhouse, casey would get headaches from the stress of his sister trapped without him in the city, and the only way for him to get rid of them was to sit somewhere dark and quiet in the house, and it would usually be the most random places.
like, leo bringing the washing in would find a hunched over figure, dark hair covering their face, sleeping in a dark corner of the hallway and scream. he thinks their next adventure is being haunted but no, casey just can’t sleep in a bed like a normal person apparently.

So to summarize what happens in this au because my info post is buried-
In this au tang shen was supposed to be dead like the show but she's in a coma after firefighters got her out of the burning house fire (I'm not an expert on firefighters)
After her coma she gets a job in a pet store after a few years of splinter being mutated but she doesn't know that, the kraang come in, she gets turned into a raccoon and finds splinter and the turtles
BUT she doesn't realize she's supposed to be dead originally so her family suffers even more because shredder is even more brutal because he wants her all to himself
So instead of splinter dying in season 4 its shen :)
