I think you should be grown enough to mind your own fucking business. We didn’t bring any money to the hospital, and he didn’t want to leave me here alone last night because he had to go home today.
This was the post I was referring to about people being pissed. I know that other person didn't have the same attitude about it, but I was trying to respond to two different thoughts at once lol.

I know that. But most hospitals here in Utah feed the SO one meal, then only feed the mother after that since she is the one admitted.
That is definitely not always true. My hospital has a guest plate offered for every meal that I eat. And our celebration dinner was offered to him, too. Why are people upset that the hospital fed your husband? I saw the other post about it, too, and that was just stupid. I guess I'm lucky that Ryan was able to be fed the whole time, and not just once, but still. "Grown ass man" or not, I didn't want him to leave the room.

Lilliana Rhae Lynn was born last night, December 6th, 2014, at 6:57 pm. She weighed 7lbs 5oz at the time of birth, and is 19.75in long.
So far she is healthy and happy, but definitely a fussy little thing. I didn't make it without an epidural as planned, but I'll save that story for when we are out of the hospital.
All in all, I'm a happy new mom :)

This might just be because I'm so pregnant and easily agitated, but I DESPISE the comment threads and answer sections for parenting stuff. Sometimes I do a search online to see if other moms-to-be have experienced the same things that I am. Usually I can easily find an example, and often times, just knowing that someone else went through whatever it is I'm searching, is enough to be reassuring for me. However, when I look at the responses, I want to jump into my computer and kill people. How the fuck are some people so stupid and ignorant? I don't doubt for a second that some of the women asking the initial questions are thrown into a terrified frenzy due to some of the responses. I don't know why it bugs me so much, but it REALLY does.
And Once Again...

The baby isn't here yet.
I made myself tea and got some yogurt.
I'm back on the internet.
I wouldn't mind waking up in the middle of the night if it was to FEED MY CHILD, but this whole up-for-no-reason thing is getting to be stupid.
Spicy Food!
Ryan just made me the spiciest quesadilla ever. It has 3-Alarm cheese and jalapeno jack and salsa.
(For those of you who don't know, Ryan works at a cheese factory, so we get crazy weird cheeses all the time)
We are trying anything at this point to make the baby come sooner. I know that she'll come when she's ready, but she's out of room, and the doctor said she could come as early as this past Friday, so I think my bases are covered.
If you have labor inducing suggestions, feel free to share! I already know most of them, but I'll take more ideas!!

I want to stay non-pregnant for at least two years after my son’s birth. I’m not going to deny my husband, and myself, sex for that long just to not get pregnant haha.
Ugh! I know what you mean. I refuse to use hormonal birth control ever again because of issues in the past, I don't want another IUD because they scare me now, too, and I'm too irregular to use the rhythm method. So, that pretty much leaves condoms or inserts, and well... you know.

Active Baby
There is a VERY active baby in my belly right now. She is going absolutely crazy! I adore her and love her, but this kind of hurts, and I don't know if the pain in my pelvis is the start of labor or not... I want her to come after lunch tomorrow, but I want to ENJOY lunch tomorrow, and not be in agony every ten minutes...
Baby Update!
1.5cm (almost 2cm!) dilated and 75% effaced!
The doctor said today that the chance that she will be late is very tiny at this point, and that she thinks sometime around or after this weekend is probably pretty likely

I want to apologize that lately this blog hasn't been as focused on you! I adore you, and you are on my mind 24/7. Right now you are kicking out my stomach on the left side of my belly button, and I look like I have a tumor. I love your little kicks so much. They make me giggle, and they make your daddy freak out. He thinks it is hilarious that I have a little alien punching through my stomach all the time. We can't wait to meet you. Please come soon! This Friday would be perfect! Your Grandma Sherry will be in town still, so she wouldn't have to make an extra trip, and then also your dad would be able to stay home with me for an extra day. Just a thought :)

momma-taye I don’t think a shower will stop it. But a bath “might” if in early labour or false labour. If in active labour a bath wont prolong or stop labour.

So many people freaked out when I tried to explain this. If you are in active labor no a bath will not stop anything. But too early in or false labor with slow down or stop.
I think it was the way it was worded... My doctor highly encouraged me to start taking baths as often as I can/want to. It's good for your muscles and aches, and can help immensely when you are in labor. I had been told by a family member not to take baths when I first got pregnant, because it could raise the baby's temperature, but when I asked about that at my last appointment (shouldn't have waited 30+ weeks to find out the truth - ugh), he said that only hot tubs or complete immersion in hot hot water would cause problems. Taking a normal hot bath is just fine. If you feel like you're too hot, then get out or drink some ice water. I'm thrilled to know that I CAN take baths now, because at almost 38 weeks, I'm in agony! Plus being relaxed from a bath will help with contractions, whether they are BH or real ones.
If you are in labor and decide to take a bath and you do it too early into labor it can actually stop your labor.

Why does a bath stop labor? Could a shower stop it too? That’s super frustrating. I shower every day. Are you saying I could be prolonging labor by showering? This makes no sense to me. None at all. I feel like this is something we would be told by our doctors if it were really a big concern?
No, it only stops false labor. How could there be water-births if a bath stopped labor. My doctor told me to start taking a warm bath everyday until I give birth because it's relaxing and will help with the pain in my hips and joints.

So, I've seen some shit about people and weight gain/loss on Tumblr lately, and I wanted to put myself out there.
On the left is a picture of me from a few months before Ryan and I got together. I was close to being the lowest weight that I'd been since I was twelve years old (150lbs). I have very muscular legs and bigger bones, so yes, I really did weigh that much. Right before Ryan and I got together, I hit 149, and I was damn proud of it. But at that point in my life, the only thing I ever really consumed was alcohol. From around 10 am to 2 am every day I was at the bar. I spent all of my life savings on booze. I thought I was happy. Over the course of about six months of being with Ryan, I put on almost forty pounds. I didn't look little anymore, but let me tell you, I was finally fucking happy.
Now, the picture on the right was me on October 18th, 2014, at roughly 33 weeks pregnant. I've put on about ten more pounds since then. Right now I weigh the most that I ever have. It's a number that terrifies me, and one that I NEVER in a million years thought I would hit. It wasn't until my last doctor's appointment that the doctor finally mentioned that I'd probably put on a bit too much weight. Right now, I've gained a little less than fifty pounds total while pregnant. If you feel like doing the math, that means I'm a bit less than ninety pounds heavier than I was when Ryan and I got together.
And you know what? I don't care. I knew I was going to put on weight while pregnant. And quite frankly, I probably used the pregnancy card a few too many times, because damn it, I just wanted something sweet to eat. Aside from the fact that my eyebrows are now much scarier looking, I truly see much more happiness radiating off of me in the second picture than I did in the first. I look skeptical and unsure in my skinny picture. Yeah, my body was kinda rocking back then, and I did a bit of modeling at the time even. BUT the true happiness came from a healthy relationship, and the knowledge that I have a healthy baby girl growing inside of me.
Yes, when I have her, I'm going to work my butt off to lose the baby weight. But seeing myself in this new light really put things in a much better perspective for me.
I'm so ready!
I have LOVED being pregnant. I've truly enjoyed it, and I love knowing that I've made a child and kept her safe in my belly. However, I am really ready for her to be out now. The doctor said yesterday that because I am officially full term now, that we are good to go if I go into labor. I am 25% effaced and 1cm dilated already. I know that really isn't much, but I'm hoping that it's a good sign that labor is on its way. I want to meet my little girl. And I want to lay on my stomach again. I know that Ryan is feeling the same way, minus the agony of never being able to sleep and having his hips begin to spread.
Come on little girl! Please!
