âHe was lying.â (cyberlifeleader)
â humans lie all the time. â he points out, mechanical, factual. itâs a statement made with fact rather than an insult to his ownerâs species. â they get a sense of control from it, or they protect themselves with it. â it shouldnât surprise her, really. she is, after all, intelligent beyond average, is she not? enough to be at the head of a rich and powerful company. â have you learned something interesting from his lies? â
rk900, upon deviating, wonât take his led out. he will probably keep his uniform as well if he stays at the police department or will change to a suit if heâs only a bodyguard or will take on the swat uniform if itâs where heâs put ( because he has all the skills required, he probably just lacks the team mindset for it ). as for the led, rk900 doesnât take it as a sign of his inferiority. he takes it as a sign that he is an android. heâs very proud of that fact and he wonât âbecome more humanâ for the sake of others. itâs also a good way to know if heâs really unwell but cannot speak for any reason as rk900â˛s led only changes in extreme cases ( countdown to shutdown being one of those cases ).
emotional changes, however, are not shown by the led unless ( again ) fairly extreme. hence why heâs keeping it. heâs an android. heâs showing it. deal with it anti androids humans.

â need help with your tongue? seems like you've been lagging again. â
cyberlifeleaderâ:
âi said iâm fine, rk900!â itâs the lack of sleep, it has to be. itâs the only reason she can think of for losing her composure like this. exhaustion. she, after all, isnât an android.
â of course. â he is hardly bothered by her frustration. after all, heâs only a machine. â your vitals seem alright. perhaps should you lie down. â
cyberlifeleaderâ:
âiâm fine.â
â thea? â
cyberlifeleaderâ:
@ninehundredmistakes | not ready to make nice - the dixie chicks
âiâm not ready to make nice.â she knows she has to meet with the defective machines and the government. it doesnât mean sheâs happy about it. âiâm not ready to back down.â sheâs taking the 900 with her. prove to markus that deviance wasnât the right path.
itâs a strange thing, but be stuck between two programming. the law. and cyberlifeâs interest. as long as neither is broken, however, he can deal with it. â what do you want me to do? â he asks, calm and cold, as he is supposed to be. a machine without feelings. a machine without doubts, without burdening fears. heâs perfect in everyway. logical and clinical.
weâll accomplish great things together

â your model is awaited at the detroitâs police department. captain fowler will assign you to a partner. â
himself worked there as a cover to the more subtle missions heâd been given by thea rhodes. he would be able to keep an eye on the newly reset rk900. his decision to reset it shouldnât lower the success rate of the police department or he would have made a mistake.
his calculations, however, were always correct.
the rk900 was skilled enough. created to near perfection.
â you report to me. â
he had promised he wouldnât send him near cyberlife again.
and rk900 was a machine. breaking such promise were not part of his programming.
his expression was neutral as he took in the information, updating his objectives.
>arrive at the dpd >meet with captain fowler >await further instruction
he was certain he would be nothing but an asset to the police department, intent on completing every objective efficiently. hardly a mistake, the android was dead set on only following the orders he was given. no intention of deviation. 0% software instability. nothing short of a perfect android ready to work.
bailey nodded to the other rk900 model.
âunderstood.â
and with that he was setting out to complete his objectives as swiftly as possible.
empathydrivenâ:
the fear he experienced was intense, registering that there was no reasoning with the rk900. there was no way to make him see that deviancy suited connor more than a reset ever could. it was all useless and he hated the feeling of the connection, attempted to squirm and push the other away. he tried to fight the probing at his data, tried to resist with all he could. he reminded himself of everything he could to try to hold onto himself. hank. sumo. markus. he repeated names over and over in his head but he felt it slipping away.
tears fell. desperate pleas for help escaped trembling lips. he didnât want to forget. he didnât want to lose it all. he didnât want to lose himself. he cursed the other android, cursed cyberlife for all they had done to him and that they wouldnât let him be but words began to die on his tongue, forgetting. resetting. becoming machine once more.
it was harder. harder than elijahâs private android. not that she hadnât put up a fight... perhaps was it the fact they shared a lot of one design. perhaps was it the fact he possessed connorâs memory in his databanks for careful analysis. but it would need more than a minute.
[ >>> recalculating ]
then again, it wouldnât be so hard on connor if connor had accepted to cooperate at the beginning. now he was crying and pleading and cursing and for what? nothingness. there was no chord to strike. there was no string to pull. rk900 was just a machine with no name that accomplished any given mission with the determination of a hunting dog.
his grip on connor tightened, a second hand coming to the otherâs shoulder to be sure heâd be kept there. he pushed against connorâs programming more aggressively, seeking to break the last of his defenses.
clemencydrivenâ:
baley could only hope that he was right.
well. there was no backing out now. in what time there was before his mind was reset he felt almost a peace, thankful that he didnât have to feel pain again. that he wouldnât have to feel the stress or hurt or remember the fear thea had put into him. it would be gone. what remained of deviancy was glad to feel the negativity get wiped away with ease.
but then it was gone. it was all gone and⌠he didnât feel a thing. the rk800 couldnât recall a thing that lead to this moment.
a brief system scan. all systems functioning at optimum level.
âname registered. awaiting further instruction.â

"Fuck you." her face twisted into a grimace, but she still made no move forward. As much as she wanted to, she knew better than to run at this android head on.
â you cannot win. your behavior, albeit predictable is illogical. â
he stays where he is for now. heâs been programmed to wait for the right moment to strike.

She seems to stand tall against the rk unit, foolish, stubborn, and fiercely protective. How quickly does her fear melt away in the face a rage. Hands balled into fists, she awaits under the other's cold gaze for their next movement.
[ >>> mission: bring the deviant intact ]
â cooperate or be shut down. â
direct. simple. to the point. he cannot deactivate her, they need her intact. but he can shut her down and bring her back. he can also bring her back screaming and kicking. rk900 will see which seems to be the easiest or most probable path.
empathydrivenâ:
led flashed in a continuous red, dashing and weaving, but he knew it was futile. connor just didnât want to go back to machine. he didnât want to lose what he was now, didnât want to lose all those memories. they were everything to him. those moments with hank, they were precious to him. maybe that was what caused him to miscalculate. maybe he hadnât miscalculated at all, maybe he was just foolish enough to let himself be cornered so quickly. he stood no chance to fight. there was nowhere to run. âkovzhv⌠blf wlm'g szev gl wl gsrh.âÂ
one miscalculation. one mistake. it was all it took to finally corner the android. rk800 was good. obsolete or not. he would be more useful reset than deactivated. he had made the rk900 run for it after all. he walked towards him, not wanting to waste any more time. unlike most of connorâs adversaries, rk900 didnât intend on underestimating him. ever. the plea didnât register. unecessary information. useless attempt to appeal at emotions he didnât have. â r wl. yfg rg xlfow szev yvvm vzhrvi uli blf szw blf ulooldvw droormtob. â he gripped connorâs arm, forcing a connection between them and trying to force the reset as well.
