Sketchbook Time!

Be wary of the feathered bard, sharp of talon and of tongue! His wit and wonderous sound only serve to let mischief abound! Though if his pockets grow fat, that’s a nice side effect.

My friend was feeling down, so I turned her Crescent Moon Conure, named Treble, into a class(ish) DnD Bard! So we have Treble the extremely chaotic bard! 

I had a lot of fun with this one, and even made an attempt to do textures. Not sure they exactly turned out, but I still like the finished product! 

Let’s Make a Deal.

My final self portrait for Drawing I! There’s been a running...theme...from my sketchbook [my “Sketchbook Time” posts], so I really wanted to incorporate it into my final piece. And I’m really happy with how it came out!

Bill Cipher has quickly become one of my favorite things to draw. I drew him ONCE in my sketchbook for class and he just perforated the whole thing.

Sketchbook Time!

It was the wonder @offendedbydjinns ‘s birthday last week, and since I have zero dollars to my name, I wanted to make them something special. So I busted out the charcoals and went to town!

These are @offendedbydjinns and @lithps ‘s JoJo's characters, and they’re wonderful. Seriously, I had so much fun doing this! Its far from perfect, [freaking clothes again] but I had a blast using traditional mediums and being able to make something for a dear friend u3u

Sketchbook Time! Digital Edition!

This is my friends 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons character, Vex! She’s a rouge Kobold who’s a true chaotic force! So, as one does, I leaned into the chaotic energy. I was thinking about the Knife Cat Meme the whole time I was drawing this....

I also haven’t draw clothes in....ages??? So that was a fun challenge. So was drawing an animalistic face! Trying to work out of my comfort zones. 

Overall had a really fun time with this piece and hope to keep doing more and more digital art!

I’m still playing with the program Krita on my Chromebook, trying to figure out the software and how I can make it work with me. I’m not super happy how the lines came out, they’re kinda wobbly. But, in the process, I think I figured out how to stabilize my lines better! So goo practice!

Doodling in my physics II lecture while we’re talking about soundwaves. Can you blame me? Still playing with my new Chromebook and an app called Krita. I’ve been really enjoy it.

These are the last few pieces from my sketchbook from Drawing I course I had last semester! They don’t really go together, but I didn’t want to post them on their own lol. 

Butt Witch! from Twelve Forever. Such a fun design, I love her.

I turned a Demodectic Mange Mite into a monster?? If you’ve never seen one they look like like segmented cigars with stubby little legs. This isn’t the mange mite that causes Scabies; we all actually have these guys on us! Gross, right?  If there is an immune issue an individual (my experience is with animals, and I’ve seen a lot of demodex in dogs) the mite can take over and cause some sever skin issues. 

So....monster

I needed to fill up my sketchbook for class, so I went for a tried and true method of draw whatcha know. And what I know if Pokémon!

So have a bunch of Electric type (my favorite only second to water) Pokes!

I had so much fun with this! Some of these are personal favs, some I just liked the look of, and others are friend requested.

Realistic?? Whaaaat????

All last semester I was working on a scientific paper about bats. I learned a lot! Like how scientist basically know NOTHING ABOUT BATS! Even though they are a host species for a number of different virus genera (like lyssaviruses which include rabies), we don’t know DICK about how these viruses are able to mutate and grow in bats without causing illness. On top of that we don’t know much about bats’ migration, roosting, or social behaviors, which makes the spread of these infectious agents even harder to study. So basically I learned more but also now know less. Funny how that works.

BUT what I do know is that bats are fucking cute as hell so...have some bats!

One of my teammates from that paper is also looking into getting a frog so I drew her some sweet frogs because they are perfect creatures u3u

Also a Dunkleosteus because I love that armored ancient fish.

I really like how the sunflower and Lily of the Valley turned out; not so happy with the cactus.

My best friend @iceprincess1024 wanted me to draw a demon/monster form of Kirishima from My Hero Academia, so she got two versions! These were pretty fun to futz with! Knuckle walking to protect very very sharp claws, spikey hair on top of rock hard and cracking carapace.

Bonus half done “Draw the Squad,” also for @iceprincess1024, with her ship Kirishima and Bakugo. (Which she’s suckered me into...THE FIEND)

Also an unrelated wolf head study, for reasons.
