^^^^^ This movie in Nicole’s repertoire does NOT get enough gifsets and stanning. For those who don’t know, this was the movie that put Nicole on the map. There was major award buzz around it and the subject matter is greatness. It’s about a black woman, who does not neatly fit into the respectability box, who as a victim of the prison industrial complex, is pressured and unfairly incarcerated for a crime that she did not commit. Based on a true story, she successfully sues the state for wrongful imprisonment.
