The German-born scientist glowered when the woman ignored his hint to be left alone. “If you must know, this is a holographic representation of the Breach.” Hermann supposed that he was fortunate that he was only dealing with her as his rather incessant lab partner has disappeared off to who knows where. “Is that all?”

    “No kidding, huh?” She moved away from his shoulder and rounded the object in question, tilting her head to study it more intently, before reaching out to wipe her hand through it. “Huh? Oh, I mean -- Well, there’s nothing else to do but bother you, seeing as how I’m avoidin’ some things.” She made an impressed face at the holograph. "You’re the math nerd, right?”

    “Y’know, just saying, people want to come in here all the time to check out what you’re up to. Speaking of... what is that?” She leaned over his shoulder,  disregarding his call for peace.

     “I can’t believe you!” Face red with anger and embarrassment, Lara wiggled around in Sam’s arms trying to break free. What an evil scheme, she truly was with The Worst Person Ever. Lightly butting her head against the others, she huffed in defeat. “You might have won this battle, but the war is far from over!” She belted through the apartment, putting all of her weight on the other, nearly laying down on top of her. “Lara Croft will have her victory!” Her shouts of defiance began to subside, getting replaced with hearty laughter.

   “You should believe me.” Her nose wrinkled in amusement at the butt to her head, and leaning up a little into it before relaxing back into the ground. “You’re such a dork. Way worse than me and I did a damn evil laugh.” Shoulders were still shaking with laughter, and her smile never left her face. Just seeing Lara laugh and smile was enough to melt all the worries away. Hands moved from Lara’s back to her neck, then to tangle her fingers in the other’s hair. “Don’t be such a sore loser.” This time when she leaned up Sam touched her nose to Lara’s, resting against her and soaking up the moment. “Let’s play something else before I start rambling and asking questions about stuff we shouldn’t talk about.”
