"Well then I suppose I should move." Klaus said stepping away from the door.

“That you are, brother. See? isn’t it much better when you’re not trying dagger your siblings?” she joked, and let out a light laugh. “Well, It seems like we have all found our happiness and for that i’m very grateful.” 

"Who would have guessed that kids would be the thing to change me? I am glad that you're all happy. We deserve some happiness, sister."

Elijah nodded, “”Thank  you,” he gave his brother a tight smile. “Hayley is with Rebekah now, I believe,” he murmured as he sipped his drink and then went back to settling the glass between his palms, rolling it a little. He shook his head, “No….no she knows there’s no feelings…I was….weak…and I reacted poorly to that weakness…that’s all.”

"I wouldn't worry too much, brother. Give her some time. I'm sure it'll all work out." He said with a small smile. "In the meantime, I'm here to help you drink your troubles away."

“This doesn’t fill me with confidence…”

Klaus shook his head to clear the rest of the fog that lingered. "I'm alright. No need to worry. What are you doing out at this hour?"

Hayley just flopped down next to one of her boxes. It was Elijah that was better at the whole organizing thing. So she didn’t exactly know what was in which box. “I’m looking for ones from before she was five.” Simply quirking an eyebrow briefly as he joked about the rabbits. “Do you have another thousand years?”

Klaus sat the photo albums down next to her boxes. "Take any you'd like." He watched her carefully for a moment. "In fact, I do have another thousand years."

“You mustn’t walk the streets when your head is foggy, Uncle Klaus…”

"The only problem is, I don't know when it started getting foggy..." he mumbled.

— ❝ You could stop blocking the doorway.. ❞

"You could say excuse me."

Hayley fought the urge to roll her eyes at him. “I was hoping that you’d have more pictures of Hope from when she was small.” And she also wasn’t going to scrapbook in her home. When Klaus did not follow her conversation diversion she did roll her eyes. “Not totally alone. There were a few rabbits. I ate them.”

"I probably do, somewhere." Klaus informed as he walked to a nearby bookshelf and pulled out a few photo albums. "Poor bunnies. Never stood a change against the big bad Hayley." He said jokingly. "So, are you going to tell me what's bothering you?"

Elijah nodded, “She knows,” he said as he looked at his glass sighing a little. “I don’t know what she is going to do with the information but…I told her before anyone else could…”

Klaus nodded. "Well, if you two decide you need some time alone, to think or whatever, you're welcome here." He offered. Klaus knew this couldn't be easy on either person involved. "How did Tatia react? I mean does she, ya know, think there could be something more between you two now?"

Elijah shook his head. “No.” he told him honestly as he finished his drink and set the glass down, sighing. “No I was feeling…lonely,” he said quietly. ‘Hayley left with no word if she would be back and I was…” he sighed, “I was lost…and she was a….familiar comfort…..There will always be a part of me that feels for Tatia but Hayley has my heart.”

"Well, in that case I'm sure you and Hayley will work through it. You two have always had something special." Klaus said hoping to reassure his brother. "Does she know?"

“I’m not.” Lina interjected defensively. “You just took me by surprise and shocked me. That’s all.”

"Look, I am sorry. My heads a little foggy right now. I didn't even notice you at first. I was in my own little world I guess."

Elijah took the glass from his brother with a quiet ‘thank you’ before he shifted and brought the cup to his lips and sipped it. He gave Klaus a small smile when he tried to lighten the mood. “Thank you,” he said as he cleared his throat a little. “….I kissed Tatia,” he murmured, looking down at his glass.

"You kissed... okay." It took him a moment to process the information. Klaus had always thought that if anyone could keep a marriage going for centuries it would have his brother and Hayley. "So, do you have feelings for her?"

The first question was an easy one. The second one less so. Hayley bit back the instinct to snap at him in defense. “I was in the Bayou,” She tried to sound nonchalant. “And they’re all my pictures. And crap I picked up at the store to make a scrapbook.” A not so subtle attempt to divert his attention more towards scrapbook and less towards Bayou.

"A scrapbook? Alright, and where do I come in? I'm sure you're capable of scrapbooking alone." He noisily opened the box that was onto and took a peak inside. "You were in the bayou huh? Alone for months?"

“ Now that’s a massive lie. Well, maybe not so much anymore. Marriage and fatherhood seems to have simmered down your mischievous behavior.” 

"What can I say, Rebekah? I'm a changed man." It was true, for the most part, Klaus hadn't done anything too horrid in quite a few years.
