His face scar was most prominent during the period of this outfit.

I’m simply sad that the cape didn’t stay blue like it is per default when you dye the coat, so please imagine the coat is white but the cloak is blue like in default.

The scarf is the most important part, though. FINALLY, A SCARF ...

I imagine he wears this in warmer weather/climates than his current main outfit.

The only reason this is not the main one is because I feel like it’s much less feasible to go out gathering in a yukata rather than the Prince of Botany outfit ... I just really, really like him in yukata.

The Best Man’s Gaiters are actually supposed to be interpreted as knee high boots in combination with the greaves on the Forager’s Slops, rather than two separate pieces.

( body turn-around with scar chart goes here once I’ve made it ) Unlike Miriam, whose body type is slightly different from her in-game model on account of her being of mixed blood, the Midlander male body type fits Kaito to a T ( or an O, if you wanna be “head to toe so last letter in his name” ). While at the start of his journey he would likely have been a little leaner than depicted by the model, leaning more towards the male Elezen upper body type, his eventual choice in professions causes him to gain musculature. Firstly, there’s the lifting, weeding and pulling that comes with Botany, and secondly, there’s his taking up of basic Lancing techniques to supplement the White Arts. The combination of the two eventually leads him to gain muscle in largely arms and shoulders, and secondarily at his core to keep in balance during parrying stances. In essence, however, he remains a caster, meaning that he lacks the very hard muscle definition frontline fighters have. It is nonetheless present, however, but often not very visible unless he pulls the muscle taut – particularly because he tends to wear comfortable and loose-fitting clothing that obscure much of his body shape other than the width of his shoulders. For his degree of scarring, he may have less than most physically fighting veterans may have, but it is nonetheless present. As a healer, he is often the first for the enemy to try pick off, and while his death would mean that of all, thus earning him good protection, it does not mean no blow will land. The brunt of his scars come from arrows, Archers often being the first to try feather him down from a distance, with a particularly nasty one grace of a barbed tip that Miriam had to cut out of him. Other injuries he tends to sustain when the enemy breaks through the lines: while mastery of basic Lancing has equipped him with decent parrying skills, they’re not always enough to completely fend off a trained fighter. Conversely, he has very little burns and patches inflicted by enemy magic – after all, if that Thaumaturge’s spell had hit, he’d be ash to ash again.

( Remind to me to put a good turn-around of his face in the character creator here soon. ) While Kaito is by no means ugly, he lacks the raw handsomeness of men generally given that moniker. He is facially well-sculpted, but in that sense also rather plain, with no stand-out features deemed commonly extremely attractive – that is, until he starts emoting. With his large blue eyes, carved jawline, big eyebrows, and the high contrast between these and his skin color, Kaito’s face amplifies his penchant for wearing his heart on his sleeve by a thousandfold. It is this emotive capacity that causes his appeal: whether he smiles or whether he cries, the earnesty of the emotion is so physically apparent that it is hard to not to be swept away in it even as a bystander. Sadly enough, Kaito personally seems to be completely unaware of this particular appeal of his. Thus failing to weaponize it, he is often completely overshadowed by those whose attractiveness is much more In Your Face – that, or maybe he just lacks their assertiveness ... or it’s the ears. Don’t mention his boring Midlander ears. He’ll probably start crying.
