Just imagine an adventure with Kai, Skylor, and Wyfy where Wyfy's just... jealous of this woman taking her father's mentor's attention.

She doesn't understand what that feeling is, all Wyldfyre knows is that Kai had been in the nether space and she'd accepted he was gone and then BAM! He's back again. So, yeah, she doesn't want to waste a moment with him.

She'd missed him.

And now there's someone else who isn't her or Nya or his teammates who he's smiling around with those soft eyes and who he seems to understand.

Wyldfyre doesn't like her. Nope. Not in the slightest. Even if she does seem like a kind and awesome person who'd treated Wyldfyre with nothing but kindness.

Kai, surely, knows something is wrong when his daughter protoge isn't as chaotic as he knows her and doesn't want to shoot fireballs with him.

It takes a while for it to click, and he has to explain that his love for Skylor differs from his love for Nya differs from his love for his teammates differs from his love for her. He loves Skylor, and he loves her, but he loves them differently.

Keep in mind I haven't watched the full seadons/episodes so I have no idea if this has happened or not

I already posted about this on another blog but I'm putting this sentiment on here too since this is my bitching about media blog.

Kpop Demon Hunters was cool and everything and obviously a lot of love was put into its production. No notes on the music and art direction. The writing is solid for the most part too.

But that ending was so vapid, forced and honestly stupid. The entire run of the movie is spent building the connection between Rumi and the main demon guy, trying convince us that there's more to demons than just being evil spirits. It's about accepting yourself in your entirety, even the parts you might consider flawed.

All while the other two Huntrix are just standing there being underdeveloped. And the end of your movie wants me to believe it was always about the power of friendship, so I should suddenly care about the other two girls because umm they're actually reaaaally important characters trust me ahah. Girl I can't even remember their names.

Oh and about those pesky demons, they should all fuck off in super hell forever. I guess out of a million of them the main guy was the only good one. lmao? what??? Isn't this proving the exact opposite point the movie tries to make? How is this ending supposed to make me believe Rumi can accept her demon side, if demons ARE actually just evil and deserve to be banished forever. Am I stupid? Can anyone hear me?

First you introduce the three girls who are supposedly the main characters (it's literally called Kpop demon hunterS), and each of them has her role in the group and her insecurity and flaw but then... what? Mira and Zoey are ignored until Rumi's involved? And we never see them in their elements? We never see them unless Rumi's around? And Rumi can literally do everything they're basically useless in the group?

And then boom they're important again and help save the world.

And the demons who apparently have feelings and are just driven by shame? Nah, back to eternal suffering you go.
