P1

It would be a slow build up.

Someone flirting with you one time, whatever. Someone flirting with you multiple times? He's aware enough to know he’s paranoid. So the first time someone gets close to you he keeps calm. However the more they interact with you the more alarms go off in his head. He logs each interaction, each word, each look, each touch. Every incident sets him more and more on edge until it's too much.

He makes his presence in your life loud and clear.

At first he does his best to be intimidating. Using every trick he can to make himself as scary as possible. He makes sure he’s always around when the person hitting on you is there. He doesn't need to yell or lose his shit. He just becomes a steady presence making sure everyone knows he’s by your side.

Prepare for everything.

If the person still wants to hit on you Dude takes steps to prepare. Finding out all he can about said person. By a week he’s got several plans for if things escalate. He’s even got a plan for if you try to leave him. Also don’t pay any mind to the extra supplies he’s buying.

Showers you with affection.

His affection is awkward but he does try to ramp it up. More touching, cuddling, random gifts. He wants your attention on him and no one else. If by some chance you're actually attractive to the other person Dude will become suffocating. He won’t leave you alone even for a minute. Constantly wanting to know what you're doing or where you're going. Very much goes into controlling territory.

Fuck yeah my partner is hot

At first he’s proud other people find you attractive enough to hit on. He will brag about it to just about everyone. Dude loves the fact that people find you as hot as he does. Until it starts to go a little too far or you flirt back. Then he is ready to kick someone’s ass.

Fight first, question later.

Most likely to just get into a fight right away. If you give him a ‘help me’ look he’s already on his feet. If someone tries to touch you or their flirting crosses a line, then he’s going to make them bleed. Date night is going to be hard because he’s most likely banned from a lot of places for beating the shit out of people.

The type to nip it in the butt.

He doesn’t hide behind words or simply let things play out. If not fighting he’s got some choice words for someone who dares hit on you. He makes it clear your taken and to back the fuck off. (If ignored, it's fighting time.) But at the same time that applies to you. If you dare flirt back he’ll immediately speak up.

He’s overall pretty chill.

Besides the fighting he’s laid back. He’s confident you know your his partner. So he’s never overly jealous. Maybe he’ll throw an arm over you or give you a kiss if he’s feeling insecure in public. But at the end of the day he trusts you. (If you flirt back Dude is gonna blow your back out as soon as possible to remind you who your partner is.)

Jealous? Him? Never.

He acts like he doesn’t even notice others hit on you. Even when you get close to someone he just acts like it’s not a big deal. The man’s ego is way too big for him to care about such things. (That’s what he tells himself.)

In private he’s clingy.

He wants to hold your hand or cuddle. He ask for kisses constantly and is always trying to be intimate. He pushes for you to stay home or let him go with you if you go out. He’s constantly thinking up ‘what if’ scenarios that freak him out.

A secret worry wort.

He’s mentally freaking the fuck out. What does he bring to the table? Not a whole fucking lot. So the moment someone else shows you interest, Dude is thinking up ways to prove he’s better. At first it will be him flaunting his ego. Acting all high and mighty. If that doesn’t work he moves onto being an ass. If that doesn’t work he will force you to leave the situation.

If you flirt back he’s devastated.

You might as well just take him out back and put him out of his misery. If you do it as a way to make him jealous he will probably look like a hurt puppy. If you keep flirting, that hurt puppy will turn angry. He will forcibly separate you from the other person. Expect an ear full when you two are alone.

Secretly super jealous each time someone hits on you.

He tries to act chill but inside he’s seething. Can’t this fucker see your with him? He’s not as quick to jump into fights at P2 but he’s not above it. He will make it very clear to everyone you two are together. He tries to do it in a calm-ish way. “Thought we would try something new for date night.” Or “We’ve been together for years!”

A lot more PDA.

Kissing, touching, all that jazz. If that doesn’t work he will slowly escalate it. Throwing an arm around you, sitting close, pressing kisses to your neck. He’s ready to pull you into his lap and just made out. He wants to make sure people know your together.

Feels betrayed when you flirt back.

He is genuinely hurt that you would do that. Even if it’s to just make him jealous he feels like the floor just dropped out from under him. If you apologize quickly he will accept it. But if you keep going it will seriously depress him.

100% you will not survive unscathed.

Remember the PDA thing? Well your fucked when he gets you in private. He is going to leave bruises, hickeys and bite marks on every inch of your body. There is no escaping your fate. If you flirt back you're going to have a bruised ass on top of everything else.

Movie

On edge instantly.

Someone flirting with you sets off war flashbacks for him. He’s immediately on high alert looking out for any signs of danger. His ex-wife left him with a lot of trauma regarding relationships. He rushes to get you away from that person before things get worse.

He trusts you, he just … has trust issues.

What can you do? An entire town hooked up with his wife behind his back. He does trust you but at the same time the voice in the back of his head keeps whispering how everyone will cheat on him. He might ask to check your phone or ask where you're going. When he's really insecure he will go with you.

Did I mention he’s insecure?

Please don’t flirt back, his confidence in relationships is next to zero. There’s always something in the back of his mind feeding into his doubts. After trying hard for someone only for them to treat you like shit and cheat on you doesn't help. He does a lot of check-ins on the relationship. Asking if you're happy with how things are.

Now he’s not completely spineless.

If someone makes moves on you and doesn't take no for an answer then he’s stepping up. Fighting is a last resort but Dude is great at causing a scene. (Really chaos follows him wherever.) A few insults and a punch thrown results in the whole place going into a fight. He’s ready to do what he can to make sure you feel safe and sound. (Give him lots of praise and he will melt at your feet.)

Shtopor

It takes a lot to make him jealous.

He’s seen and done a lot. Someone hitting on you is just a given to him. After all he finds you hot so why wouldn’t the rest of the world. Now if you felt uncomfortable he would be right there. Shooing off whatever asshole can’t catch a hint.

Touching is off limits.

A hand on your shoulder, a touch to your lower back, or god forbid draping an arm over you. If some asshole gets the bright idea to start touching you that sets him off. Shtopor is a big believer in consent so if someone starts to touch you he’s going to start throwing hands.

Flirting back is a good way to get punished.

He takes you flirting back as a sign you want some punishment. He cataloged every flirtatious word or touch deciding how much punishment you’ll receive later. He will step in if things get a little too intimate for him. (Or if you give him the single that you’ve had enough.)

If he does get jealous it’s hell on earth.
