I really need to do a long rant in some form about the Big Musical Fandom Trio Of Circa 2016 (BMFTOC16) and how they present their themes and what their takeaways are at the end of their own stories

Like I was thinking about this just the other day

Heathers - Life sucks and will most likely continue sucking, but it has good in it. We should choose to enjoy what we can, and hope for a better future instead of focusing on everything that's wrong.

DEH - You will make mistakes that hurt people, but those mistakes aren't the end of the world. Sometimes you need to let time pass between this moment and the next until those moments of pain are far behind you.

BMC - You can be louder than both external pressures and your own internalized anxieties. Those voices of criticism may never go away, but that doesn't mean they get to dictate your life.

Just. something about how they contrast and complement each-other. How different they are and yet how similar. How much they meant to me and continue to mean to me. Ugh. They all rotate in my head.

The first and last 100~ pages of a book always feel like torture. What do you MEAN I've barely made any visible progress, I've been reading ALL AFTERNOON!!! The middle flies by like a fleeting summer breeze and makes you feel OH SO PROUD of all the progress you're making, and then suddenly you're standing still again. The words go by and the pages turn, but the bookmark is always put back into the same spot. You're trapped in a hallway and all doors only lead to more doors.
