Anime Season: Fall 2018
aOk, normally I don’t keep up-to-date with anime besides a few exceptions. The only reason I’m gonna try and do it now is because of two shows in particular (which I’ll list my reasoning's under their overview)
Number 5: Devidol!
Never heard of this before but I’m a fan of some idol series and devil idols just sound freaking adorable, so why not? I am a bit concerned about it being 3D animated but that style tends to be either a hit or miss for me. I’m hoping it will be funny and have good character development while also hoping that it lacks a bland story, terrible characters, and over used troupes.
Number 4: Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara
It sounds really interesting and the art style is beautiful. I’m hoping each character gets their own episode (cause it just looks like an anime that would do that), the quality of this art is consistent through out (cause again that is freaking gorgeous) and really strong story line. I’m really hoping this doesn't just become bland or stale like some slice-of-life series have before in the past.
Number 3: Dakaretai Otoko ni Odosarete Imasu
If you think I’m watching this because it’s a shounen ai, well, you’re totally right! One of my friends told me about this series becoming an anime and neither one of us knows what its about so we figured “why not?” It seems like it’s gonna be a comedy based on the cover art alone so I’m hoping for a few laughs as well as good relationship building. I don’t care whether it’s as friends, family, lovers, enemies, etc. if it doesn't have a good and complex relation that feels natural or relatable, you have already lost my interest and I don’t even think I can finish a romance when it’s lacking that.
Number 2: FLCL Alternative
Sadly, I've only finished the first season and still need to watch Progressive before this one but I am determined! Because I haven’t seen Progressive I have no idea what the newer style in storyline/plot is like so I’m just hoping this (and Progressive) is as good as the first series. Sorry I don’t have more to say about it.
Number 1: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
NOW LISTEN UP!!! I am SOOOO freaking HYPED for this show! It was originally recommended to me as a manga and I fell in love with this story~ It’s funny, enjoyable, the main character is relatable, and overall I’d recommend this manga to anybody who enjoys their fantasy. That moment I saw that this was becoming an anime I had to stop myself from screaming (especially since I just got done rereading this a few days before). I’m hoping the anime is just as good and I’m REALLY hoping the voice actors fit each character without seeming weird or cringy. Overall, I’m hyped and ready! I’m gonna binge watch the crap outta this show if it lives up to the manga and I hope the rest of y’all enjoy it too!
