The landship of Rhodes Island was comprised of varying twists and turns as one strayed further from the center of activity. It wasn’t unnatural for wanderers or curious folk to venture around, but for Phantom it was the place of his usual residence. Every so often Miss Christine would nudge his leg with her head before trotting off - a sign for Phantom to emerge to assist if need be.
Stepping out from the darkened corridor, the ears under his hood twitch ever so slightly at the footsteps of another before he comes to a halt. The black cat by his side lingers on the ground, bright eyes staring up at the feline before the two. Neither of them were familiar with the woman — making Phantom wonder if she had been a new operator that was lost.
❝ There is nothing here for you. All the others are on the other end of this place, where you came from. ❞ He looks over her, staring down the hallway she had just been walking down. ...It probably wouldn’t be a straight runback now that he thinks about it.

But wouldn’t it look bad, would they ( the inazumans ) not think Thoma to think he’d be too high and mighty for a meager gift from another stranger ? “ I hope you’re not trying to pull a joke on me, hahaha — there’s no Onikabuto’s in there, right ? ” He’s only half serious and half joking, trying to get the man at peace around him before all seriousness returns to him at the possibility of perhaps another noble visiting. Thoma blames himself for not making the connection any faster. “Are you visiting the Kamisato Clan ? Would you like me to escord you and the Lady …” Thoma is quiet, letting the question hanging in the air in hopes the man would give him their names.
❝ …Phantom. ❞ A curt reply is all he gives before realizing he’s required to introduce his companion. Looking passed the other man, Phantom makes a quick notion with his hand — beckoning his presumed lady. ❝ …And this is— ❞ No footsteps are heard as the other gets closer nor when she looks up at the blond man with large, round eyes.
❝ —Miss Christine. But no. It is a loach. ❞
❝ Meow. ❞
The black kitten sways her odd tail in greeting before looking upon the small package to see if it had changed hands yet. Before Christine could become too pushy with the gift she had gracefully captured beforehand Phantom speaks up once more. ❝ …I was advised to learn about the Shinobi that are employed under the Kamisato clan. It would be ‘beneficial’ to me. If you’ll lead, I’ll follow. ❞
sometimes I think about how Phantom is the reverse of the P.OTO in a very major way — he’s physically attractive yet can no longer make the music he loves in fear of killing those he might care about, his voice only exists to harm now. _(:°з」∠)_
